Safety Screen
A safety screen has four frame portions joined together to form a fall resistant window screen to prevent accidental egress from a window or door. Each frame portion has an upper frame portion and a lower frame portion integrally formed out of aluminum. A hinge channel runs longitudinally along a top portion of the upper frame portion and allows the upper frame portion to rotate around an integrally formed pivot slot that is longitudinally disposed at the vertex between the upper and lower frame portions. A U-shaped spline track may have a locking tab that snaps and locks within a frame hook portion that is located on many window and door frame extrusions. A screen is frictionally held in place when the upper frame is rotated and compressed against the lower frame. Each frame is mitered and welded together to form the safety screen.
Temporary portable abatement, remediation, demolition, and remodeling door
A reusable and portable temporary door/frame assembly primarily used in abatement, remediation, demolition, and remodeling applications with a containment enclosure or barrier to allow quick and easy ingress/egress, or restrict movement, to/from a limited access area. The assembly comprises lightweight materials, such as but not limited to plastic or aluminum, and two non-spring-loaded telescopic poles that extend a top bar/piece upwardly for attachment to an overhead door frame, header, or ceiling. The top of the frame is also configured to accept two upwardly extendable spring-loaded/biased poles allowing a containment enclosure or barrier to be built to ceiling heights beyond the reach of the integral telescopic poles. Since the assembly is portable, it can be installed to open inwardly, outwardly, and is reversible, depending on convenience or need. The door is lockable. The door panel's frame includes a seal at the top/bottom to reduce air transmission to/from the limited access area.
LATCHING ASSEMBLY FOR BARRIER GATE
A barrier latch assembly having a housing including a first locking element, a second locking element, a trigger and a swing plate. The swing plate is coupled to the trigger and to the first and second locking elements. When the trigger is depressed, the swing plate pivots from an unlock position to a lock position over a rear side of the first and second locking element thereby blocking and preventing the first and second locking elements from being depressed inward.
Assembly, kit and method for securing a covering to an air intake face
A fastening system for applying, over an opening and surrounding fascia of a structure, a covering material including either of a flexible or rigid outer reinforced extending perimeter within which is configured a plurality of receiving apertures. At least one elongated rail adapted to being secured to the fascia in extending fashion proximate the opening, each of the rails exhibiting a three dimensional cross sectional shape with a forwardly projecting support surface within which is configured an outwardly facing narrowed slot. A plurality of fasteners each include a planar shaped base installable through an accessible end location of each of the rails so as to be traversable along an interior channel defined in the rail. A further rotatable portion of each fastener projects from the insertable base through the outwardly facing slot and in order to be rotated from a first position aligning with and seating over perimeter defined receiving apertures of the covering material to a second position in order to affix the material.
Safety gate apparatus and method
A safety gate apparatus is provided which couples as a cost efficient and reliable gate for preventing falls and injury as well as a gate that can easily be opened by existing equipment such as a fork lift. The invention comprises a vertical sliding gate configured to move in a path of motion having at least a closed position and an open position. The vertical sliding gate remains in a closed, default position by an applied counter force created by one more elastic means. The sliding gate slides down to an open position by a downward force created by a fork lift or other machinery. The gate will automatically return to the default position when the downward force is removed.
APPARATUS FOR A DETACHABLE BARRIER TO AN ENTRANCEWAY
An apparatus includes a flexible net material comprising a rectangular shape having a width and a height. The width is at least a width of a frame of an entranceway of a building. The height is at least half of a height of the frame. Four corner fastening members are joined to corners of the rectangular shape. The four corner fastening members are configured for removable joining to the frame to cover at least a lower half of the entranceway.
Architectural Panel Mounting Systems and Methods
Architectural panel mounting systems and methods are provided, including a panel, a first rail coupled to the panel, a second rail coupled to the panel, a first bracket, and a second bracket. The first rail is coupled to the first bracket and configured to slide laterally relative to the first bracket. The second rail is coupled to the second bracket and configured to slide laterally relative to the second bracket.
DECORATIVE WINDOW BRACKETS FOR STORM PANELS
A bracket assembly for use in securing a panel to protect a structure opening from high winds. The assembly employing a triangular shape retaining bracket hingedly attached a base member. The base member secured to a Structure with fasteners wherein the retaining bracket may be placed in an open position for receipt of a storm panel, and then placed in a closed position to secure the panel in position. The retainer bracket and base member have reciprocal tab members that will receive a pin member to secure the bracket in a closed position. The retaining bracket is preferably of a decorative design wherein the retaining bracket becomes a permanent decorative accessory to the structure, the retaining bracket conceals the base member when in the closed position.
