A ground sealing arrangement for a portable flood barrier to be positioned on the ground includes a vertical wall and a main sealing layer forming a main body. The main sealing layer is impermeable to water. The ground sealing arrangement further includes a bottom sealing layer arranged on a ground-facing underside of the main sealing layer. The bottom sealing layer is attached to the main sealing layer at a distance from a peripheral edge of the main sealing layer that is most distal from the first edge of the ground sealing arrangement such that the bottom sealing layer has a free end extending from the point where the bottom sealing layer attaches to the main sealing layer towards the peripheral edge of the main sealing layer, and comprises a highly flexible and/or glutinous material which is stretchable and sticks to the ground when the material is soaked with water.

The present invention is a bottom assembly for a breakaway door. The bottom assembly comprises a first mounting plate fixed on one of the faces of the breakaway door proximate to its bottom and a security edge formed of a loop of flexible material suspended from the bottom of the breakaway door. The security edge has a second tab sandwiched between the first mounting plate and the breakaway door to mount the security edge to the breakaway door. The loop of flexible material has an interior void at least partially filled with an internal cushion. The bottom assembly further includes a first padded bar including a bumper and a first tab extending from the bumper wherein the first tab is sandwiched between the first mounting plate and the breakaway door to mount the first padded bar to said breakaway door.

The sheeting is in a relaxed state when the lateral support members are in a retracted state. The sheeting is in a taut state when the lateral support members are in an extended fixed state. The sheeting may be in either the relaxed state or taut state when the longitudinal support members are in a retracted state or an extended state. A first adjustment mechanism for increasing or decreasing the longitudinal length of the barrier is a quick slide mechanism. A second adjustment mechanism for finely increasing or finely decreasing the longitudinal length of the barrier is a rotatable mechanism.

A barrier employed to keep children and/or pets in or out of certain areas in the house. The barrier includes four panels. Two main panels slide parallel to each other to lengthen or shorten the barrier as a whole. The wood lends less weight, less sharp edges, and more pleasing aesthetics than, for example, a metal gate.
