Small gate within big gate within barrier
A first gate is disposed within a second gate of a barrier for extending across a passageway of a residence. The second gate can be closed to, for example, minimize access of toddlers to the passageway, while the first gate can be opened to, for example, maximize access of small dogs to the passageway. The barrier includes a locking mechanism between the second gate and a frame of the barrier.
Self-closing safety gate
Self-closing safety gate embodiments are disclosed herein. The self-closing safety gates include a hinge plate configured to rotate about a vertical support member and engage a hoop portion. In some embodiments, the hinge plate includes at least one support arm portion with a channel. In such embodiments, the channel can be configured to receive and frictionally engage a hoop arm of the hoop portion with a compressive fastener. In some embodiments, the self-closing safety gate can be damped.
SECURITY GATE WITH GATE LOCK
A gate is mounted on a hinge to pivot about a pivot axis between opened and closed positions. A latch is mounted for movement relative to the gate to retain the gate in a closed and locked position
Child safety gate
The invention relates to a child safety gate which occupies as little space as possible when the gate is open. The child safety gate comprises two or more panels (1, 2, 3, 4) interconnected by at least one hinge (5). The panels are mounted in the opening via at least one fitting (10) connected with an end panel (3) at one side. At least one closure device (12, 13) is connected with an end panel (4) at the other side. The hinges (5) may be connected with the panels (1, 2, 3, 4), so that the panels may be folded inwardly over each other when the gate is opened. A panel top (8) and/or a panel base (9) may be connected with the panels. The panels (1, 2, 3, 4) may comprise two panel parts which may be telescoped. An extension panel may be disposed between the panel parts.
Fence opening and fence system
Yard fences and land enclosures typically have a gate or other door structure that requires some sort of hinge, latch and looks different in overall appearance from the rest of the structure (just as the front door of a house appears different from the outer wall). Presented here is a simple mechanism by which any part of commonly used fences can be implemented as a fence opening. When closed, it appears as a continuous fence. However, when implementing the teaching herein, the space between any two fence posts can become a fence opening.
Dynamic body voltage testing
A system includes an electrically conductive handle, a detector, and a controller. The electrically conductive handle is configured to move along a fixed handle path relative to a floor. The detector is electrically coupled to the handle and is configured to detect at least one of a voltage or an electrical charge at the handle during movement of the handle relative to the floor along the handle path. The controller is configured to initiate an event based upon the voltage or charge detected at the handle during movement of the handle relative to the floor along the handle path.
RETRACTABLE GATE SYSTEM
A gate system includes a first fixed support structure having a plurality of fixed rails defining respective passageways and a gate that moves relative to the fixed support structure between an open position and a closed position. The gate includes a plurality of gate rails that slide within the respective passageways as the gate moves between the open position and the closed position. Furthermore, the gate includes one or more compressible sheets coupled to the plurality of gate rails, and the one or more compressible sheets are configured to move from a compressed position to an expanded position as the gate moves from the open position to the closed position.
Gate with counterweight and lowering exchangeable span
The gate has an exchangeable span that is fixed to the load bearing beam and is connected with pulley bearings and rope-slings to the system of adjustable counterweights. The drive system is fitted with an electric drive with a worm-wheel mounted to the load bearing beam that travels vertically along the worm. The beam, span and the drive travel on adjustable guiderails inside a reinforced concrete pit in the direction opposite to that of counterweights. The load bearing beam is fitted with rollers and retaining rollers mounted to the cover. Emergency (manual) operation of the gate is possible by turning a crank handle connected with the worm, having released the lock that prevents the worm from rotating on its axis.
Gate wheel
A two-part gate wheel is disclosed. The gate wheel includes two hub portions, each of which extends through over 180?, and which has a slot which passes from the periphery through to the centre. In use, each hub portion can be introduced from opposed sides of a gate, and coupled together to form a wheel. In this way the wheel can be retro-fitted onto a gate.
HEIGHT ACTUATED SELF-ACTIVATING SAFETY GATE
Embodiments described herein relate to a self-extending/retracting gate for a platform. In one embodiment, safety gate includes a housing that extends laterally from a back support attached to the platform. The gate includes a sliding member that is operable to retract at least partially into the housing toward the back support to substantially conceal the sliding member within the housing and provide an opening beyond the housing for users to access the platform and to extend from an opening of the housing away from the back support to block access to the platform while the housing supports the sliding member. The gate includes a gate movement assembly within the housing between a rear portion of the sliding member and the back support. The gate movement assembly is operable to cause the sliding member to extend from the housing and retract into the housing according to a height of the platform.
