GATE ASSEMBLY AND KIT
A kit for a baby gate assembly, comprising a first panel that includes a first upper rail, a first lower rail, and a plurality of first posts, and a second panel that includes a second upper rail, a second lower rail, and a plurality of second posts. The kit further includes a plurality of spindle assemblies and a plurality of latch assemblies. Components comprising the first panel, the second panel, the plurality of spindle assemblies, and the plurality of latch assemblies are capable of being shipped in a package. The first panel defines a plurality of panel dimensions. Components comprising the first panel, the second panel, the plurality of spindle assemblies, and the plurality of latch assemblies are contained in a package that defines a plurality of packaging dimensions. At least one of the plurality of packaging dimensions is smaller than at least one of the corresponding panel dimensions.
HINGED SAFETY GATE
Hinged safety gates and methods for controlling access to an elevated work surface are disclosed. The hinged safety gate can include a gate frame and a retainer assembly. The gate frame can have a distal upright member, an upper cross-arm, and a lower cross-arm. The upper cross-arm can have an upper cross-arm height (or vertical dimension), and the lower cross-arm can have a lower cross-arm height. The hinged safety gate can have a retainer assembly that is configured to be attached to a proximal end of the gate frame and to hingedly couple the gate frame to a stationary vertical surface, permitting the gate frame to swing between an open and a closed position. Some embodiments satisfy various spatial safety requirements with only two cross-arms. Some embodiments are horizontally adjustable in two different manners to accommodate a range of access area widths.
Hands free gate
The present gate includes a barrier frame and a gate in the barrier frame. The gate is opened by inserting a foot into a foot opening in the gate, which action compresses springs disposed about pivot pins between the gate and the barrier frame and draws an extended latch downwardly and out of a latch receiver that is bottomless, which action unlatches and frees the gate from the barrier frame such that the gate can be swung open. Downward travel of the gate is minimized until a foot pushes a pivoting stop out of the way.
V-DOOR SAFETY GATE
A gate assembly that can include a frame with first and second mounts to mount the gate assembly across a V-door space on a rig floor, a first gate rotationally attached to a left side of the frame, and a second gate rotationally attached to a right side of the frame, such that the first and second gates selectively permit and prevent access through the V-door space. Inner panels of the first and second gates can be configured to automatically open and close in response to a catwalk extending into the V-door space or retracting from the V-door space.
VERTICALLY FOLDING BARRIER GATE ARM HAVING A MULTI-ARTICULATED COMPOUND HINGE
A vertically folding barrier gate arm has a proximal first segment and a distal second segment connected by a pivot hinge allowing them to fold. An extension set pivotally affixed to an outer offset bracket on the housing for the motor of the gate arm is connected to an outer offset bracket on the distal gate arm segment by a multi-articulated compound hinge formed by a plurality of links attached to each other by hinges providing a constrained range of rotation relative to each other. The gate arm translates from a fully extended position where the proximal and distal gate arm segments are parallel and co-linear along a horizontal longitudinal axis, to a vertically folded position where the proximal and distal gate arm segments lie substantially against each other within the plane of rotation of the first segment.
Gate assembly
A gate assembly is formed from a gate attached by hinges to a jamb. A pair of L-shaped brackets are attached to the outer sides of the jamb. The brackets are in turn attached to a pair of gate posts in a barrier. Bolt holes formed in the header section of the jamb receive removable eye bolts that may be used as hoisting points as the jamb is being positioned within a barrier. To maintain the shape of the jamb during such positioning, a removable sill section is included in the base of the jamb. The first upright section of the jamb defines an unobstructed internal channel bounded by input and output portals. A cable may pass though the channel and into the gate by way of the output portal. Window openings in the gate may be fitted with removable window panels containing pickets and infill material. Dual gates may be positioned within an enlarged jamb, and a removable mullion post positioned between the gates and supported by the jamb.
Barrier with panels sliding parallel
A barrier employed to keep children and/or pets in or out of certain areas in the house. The barrier includes four panels. Two main panels slide parallel to each other to lengthen or shorten the barrier as a whole. Two side panels stabilize the main panels and extend to the front and rear faces of the main panels to provide a self-supporting in-house barrier. Each of the panels includes a wooden frame. The wood lends less weight, less sharp edges, and more pleasing aesthetics than, for example, a metal gate. Legs are connected to the side panels to further stabilize the side panels and main panels.
Safety Gate Closure Preventer
The safety systems enhance the safety of confined spaces which can present a danger to human occupants who may become entrapped within the confined space during a dangerous condition. The safety systems are particularly useful with confined spaces having access openings and a door or other movable barrier for the access opening. The safety systems having movable safety gates proximate the access openings. The disclosed safety gates are movable from a closed position where the safety gate forms a physical barrier which inhibits human entry into the confined space to a safety position where the safety gate prevents the door from closing and entrapping a person within the confined space.
MOVEMENT SYSTEM FOR A CLOSURE STRUCTURE WITH FOLDING MOVEMENT
Movement system for a closure structure with folding movement, comprising a transmission hinge which connects a first panel to a second panel of the closure structure. The transmission hinge has a first wing fixed to the first panel, a movement lever hinged to the first wing around a first axis, and a second wing which is hinged to the movement lever around a second axis and is fixed to the second panel. The movement system comprises a transmission mechanism which, following the rotation of the first panel, drives the movement lever to rotate around the first axis. The transmission hinge comprises a gear connecting the first wing to the second wing so that, following the rotation of the movement lever, the second wing is actuated by such gear to rotate around the second axis in order to make the second panel rotate with respect to the first panel.
MEZZANINE GATE ASSEMBLY
A mezzanine gate assembly is adapted to provide ingress and egress to an elevated platform while safely preventing falls and injury to workers positioned thereon or even below the mezzanine platform. The mezzanine assembly generally includes a support assembly which has a first and second upright support members. Each of the first and second upright support members has a base portion fixedly attached to the elevated platform and an upper portion which is configured to function as a post adjacent to the respective terminating railing. The mezzanine gate assembly comprises an interior gate assembly and an exterior gate assembly. Generally, each of the interior and exterior gate assemblies are designed to move and pivot through a path of motion which provides a plurality of points of travel. The interior gate assembly is operably designed to engage with and deviate rearward while the load is delivered to the platform via forklift in order to provide a barrier between the respective railing and side of the load. The exterior gate assembly is operably designed to provide a barrier while the load of goods is manually removed from the pallet.
