Gate
A gate comprises a spring-loaded hinge arrangement defining a rotational axis. A gate structure having a first support arm connected to a first end of the hinge arrangement is also provided. The gate structure is rotatable about the rotational axis. A spring-loaded hinge arrangement includes an outer hinge tube fixedly connectable to an adjacent structure and an inner hinge tube received in the outer hinge tube. The inner hinge tube has a first portion and a second portion movable with respect to each other, the second portion of the inner hinge tube being fixed with respect to the outer hinge tube and the first portion of the inner hinge tube being fixed with respect to the support arm.
SAFETY GATE FOR PETS AND SMALL CHILDREN
A safety gate for preventing pets and small children from passing through an opening, the safety gate comprising: a collapsible frame for selective disposition in the opening, the collapsible frame comprising: a resizable base having a first end and a second end, the resizable base being configured so that the distance between the first end and the second end is adjustable; and first and second arms adjustably secured to the first and second ends of the resizable base, respectively, so as to be re-configurable between (i) a collapsed configuration wherein the first and second arms extend substantially parallel to one another and substantially parallel to the resizable base, and (ii) an expanded configuration wherein the first and second arms extend upright from the resizable base so that the collapsible frame comprises a substantially U-shaped configuration defining a space between the resizable base and the first and second arms; and a flexible barrier for adjustable mounting to the collapsible frame so as to prevent a pet or small child from passing through the space between the resizable base and the first and second arms.
Vertical Pivoting Gate Operator
A vertical pivoting gate operator for positioning a gate between an open position and a closed position is provided. The gate operator includes a motor drive assembly including a motor and a linkage assembly mechanically connecting a motor output to the gate such that in response to actuation of the motor, the linkage assembly transmits an opening force to positioning the gate toward the open position, and a closing force, for positioning the gate toward the closed position. A counterbalance assembly including a biasing member is operable to release stored energy against an input link to rotate a gate arm shaft so as to urge the gate toward the open position and to increase stored energy in response to rotation of the gate traveling toward the closed position to act against the gate as it approaches the closed position.
Gate hinge pin assembly
A gate hinge for a preferably wooden post which includes an L-shaped rod threaded on one leg with a metal strap rigidly connected to the threaded leg at about one and one half inches from the elbow of the rod on the threaded leg. The metal strap extends six or so inches form each side of the L-shaped rod with two or more holes near each end of the strap. The L-shaped rod is threaded into the post until the metal strap contacts the post. Then each leg of the metal bracket is bent around the post and screws or lag bolts are threaded through the holes and into the post to help secure the hinge to the post and to provide added support for the gate.

Self-contained gate
A modular self-contained gate for selectively blocking an entryway comprising an ISO standard shipping container modified such that an existing closed end wall of the shipping container comprises an elongate slot-like opening arranged vertically and adjacent an edge of the closed end wall, a substantially flat and rectangular gate comprising a long edge having a length substantially the same as a length of the shipping container and a height less than a height of the opening, the gate aligned with and linearly displaceable through the opening between a first position wherein the gate is stored inside the shipping container and the entryway is open and a second position wherein the gate is extended outside of the shipping container and passage via the entryway is barred, and a support mechanism inside the shipping container suspending the gate such that the gate remains suspended above the ground.
Barrier with structurally different corner gate connections
A barrier that includes four structurally different corner connections for fixing a gate frame of the barrier to and between opposing vertical surfaces. A first connection includes a headed straight pin engaging a pivot hook and socket, a second connection includes a headed straight pin engaging a socket, a third connection includes headless bent pin engaging a socket and a limiter, and a fourth connection includes a headless bent pin engaging a socket.

A first connection includes a headed straight pin engaging a pivot hook and socket, a second connection includes a headed straight pin engaging a socket, a third connection includes headless bent pin engaging a socket and a limiter, and a fourth connection includes a headless bent pin engaging a socket.
Pre-Assembled Gate Opener Assembly
A pre-assembled gate opener assembly is comprised of a gate and an anchor assembly having a platform. A plurality of track assemblies on the platform provide a track on which the gate may slide from a first position (closed) to a second position (open) and any position in between. A guidepost having a “Shepherd's hook” configuration guides the gate as the gate passes therethrough. A pair of rollers within the interior of the top of the guidepost makes continuous contact with each side of the top of the gate both while the gate is stationary and in motion. A gate opener controller contains the required electrical connections to fully the operate gate opener assembly. Subterrain anchor supports provide the necessary support for the gate opener assembly. An alternative embodiment accommodates nontraditional configured gates. Installation of the gate opener assembly is performed by do-it-yourselfers in minimal time.
