Enhanced strength spreader step for use with rope ladders
10107034 · 2018-10-23 ·

This invention relates to a spreader step for a rope ladder comprising a metal scaffold having three types of overlapping elements. There are two parallel elongate elements, two U-shaped elements, the ends of which are inserted into the ends of the parallel elongate elements, and four strengthening elements that are disposed over the other two types of elements at the site of overlap.

SINGLE-SPAN LADDER WITH STEPS AND ANTI-SLIDE BASE

A ladder includes a first rail and a second rail spaced apart and parallel to one another. The ladder includes a plurality of rungs coupled between the first rail and the second rail. The plurality of rungs is spaced a distance apart along a length of the first rail and the second rail. The ladder includes an anti-slip footing removably coupled to a proximal end of the first rail and a proximal end of the second rail. The anti-slip base includes a base, a first side support coupled to a first side of the base, and a second side support coupled to a second side of the base opposite the first side of the base. The first side support and the second side support inhibit the first rail and the second rail sliding. The anti-slip footing is configured to move relative to the first rail and the second rail.

A ladder having a first rail and a second rail. The ladder having a standard rung having a width permanently attached to the first rail and the second rail. The ladder having a first wide rung having a width greater than the width of the standard rung, which is permanently attached to the first rail and the second rail. The ladder having a second wide rung having a width greater than the width of the standard rung, which is permanently attached to the first rail and the second rail. The first wide rung and the second wide rung are disposed in a work zone of the ladder. The work zone of the ladder is where a user typically stands on the ladder while performing tasks. The standard rung is disposed outside the work zone.

Overturn structure of a footstep of a folding ladder
10077601 · 2018-09-18 · ·

An overturn structure of a footstep of a folding ladder, includes a footstep is disposed between two legs, wherein further comprising two pivot elements and a reinforcing bar connecting between the two legs, the pivot elements are respectively connected to both ends of the reinforcing bar, the pivot elements are pivoted joint to the footstep to make the footstep overturn about the reinforcing bar to fold and unfold, when the footstep is unfolded, the reinforcing bar is supported on the bottom portion of the footstep. The pivot elements are connected to the reinforcing bar, the pivot elements are pivoted joint to the footstep, the footstep can rotate about the reinforcing bar to fold and unfold, so that the structure is stable, when the footstep is unfolded, the reinforcing bar is supported on the bottom portion of the footstep, it thus significantly improves the bearing performance of the footstep.

Staggered step trestle ladder

A ladder has first and second support members, joined at their upper ends by a hinge. The first and second support members have left rail and a right rail that support plural first and second steps. Steps secured to the rails a fixed distance apart and are staggered so that the steps of the first support member begin at a different elevation than the steps of the second support member. The steps are wider than the rails to provide a larger surface for a user to stand. The ladder has a deployed position in which first ends of the first and second supports remain close and the second ends are spread apart and held in a distance apart by a spreader bar. Upon drawing the second ends of the first and second supports together, the steps of the first and second support member do not touch or interfere and may interleave.

Extendable / retractable ladder

An extendable/retractable ladder assembly includes a first stile and a second stile and a plurality of rungs extending therebetween. Each stile may comprise a plurality of columns disposed in a nested arrangement for relative axial movement in a telescopic fashion. A connector assembly connects the rungs to respective columns in the first and second stiles. The ladder has improved manufacturability since connector assemblies may be assembled before connecting the rungs to respective columns. The standing surface of the rungs may be angled such that it is rotated towards horizontal when the ladder assembly is leaned against a wall. A latch assembly may be used to selectively lock relative axial movement between adjacent columns. The latch assembly includes a locking pin assembly comprised of a central post and an outer metal sleeve. An air damper may also be used to control airflow through the columns.

Ladder attachment system for a wind turbine

The present disclosure is directed to a ladder attachment system for securing a ladder within a tower of a wind turbine. The ladder has parallel legs and a plurality of rungs arranged perpendicularly between the parallel legs. The ladder attachment system includes at least one external stiffener configured at a top end of each of the parallel legs. Each of the external stiffeners includes a longitudinal body having an open cross-section configured to receive one of the parallel legs along a length thereof. Further, the ladder attachment system also includes a load-bearing bracket assembly configured with each of the external stiffeners. In addition, the ladder attachment system includes at least one support arm arranged in a horizontal plane and configured with each of the parallel legs, with the support arms being spaced apart from the load-bearing bracket assembly along a height of the ladder.
