A retro-fit installation modifies the existing pool ladder structure of an existing in-ground or above-ground swimming pool to support an underwater “swim out” platform structure. In some versions, the ladder rails of the existing pool ladder are used to support the underwater platform, while in others the existing pool ladder rails are replaced with new tubular platform rails specifically designed to support the underwater platform structure. Other versions are adapted for installations in a round pool or at a corner of a rectangular pool.

A ladder step attachment. The ladder step attachment includes a base having a pair of arms extending away from an upper surface thereof. The pair of arms extend at an angle such that a distal end of the pair of arms is closer to a rear side of the base than to a front side of the base. A fastener is located on the distal end, wherein the fastener can removably secure to a rung of a ladder. The base further includes a cutout along the front side, wherein a platform is secured to the base at a lateral side of the cutout via a hinge. The platform can move between an open position and a closed position, wherein the platform is coplanar with the base when in the closed position.

Each rung has a rung length spanning between the first rail and the second rail. A rung attachment is attached to each of the plurality of rungs, wherein the rung attachment comprises a rung attachment body, a recess along a bottom section of the rung attachment body for receiving the rung, and a top surface of the rung attachment body. A first section of the top surface is above the rung when the rung attachment is attached to the rung and the collapsible marine ladder is in the deployed configuration. A second section is cojoined with a front side of the first section and wherein the second section is downwardly angled such that an angle is formed between the first section and the second section.

A removably attachable platform device for use with a ladder includes a base plate, a coupler, and a pair of fasteners. The coupler is coupled to a lower face of the base plate and is configured to removably couple to a respective rung of a ladder to couple the base plate to the rung. Each fastener is coupled to a respective opposing side edge of the base plate and is configured to removably couple to a respective siderail of the ladder to couple the base plate to the siderails of the ladder. The base plate is positioned substantially parallel to a substantially horizontal surface, upon which the ladder is positioned, and thus is configured to support a user.

A ladder foot support apparatus for creating a larger area to support a user's feet includes a base having a base outer side with a pair of parallel slots extending from a base top side through a base bottom side. The pair of slots is configured to receive a rail of a ladder. An upper face of a platform is coupled to the base bottom side and perpendicularly extends away from a base inner side. A lip is coupled to the platform and has a perpendicular portion extending down from a back edge and a return portion curving back up towards a lower face of the platform. The return portion is configured to selectively receive a rung bottom edge of a rung of the ladder.

A ladder platform system and a ladder that uses that system include an elongated first center post that is configured to pass through a first hollow rung of a ladder. In addition, an elongated secondary post is configured to pass through a second hollow rung of the ladder. There is also a pair of short frame members and a pair of long frame members that together form a rectangular frame. The long frame members are attached to the first center post. A first platform is connected to the rectangular frame and an adjustable frame member connects the secondary post to the first center post. In addition, a brace connects a first short frame member to the adjustable frame member.

A portable step platform fits onto the hollow rungs of an extension or step ladder, providing support, security and comfort for the user performing work related tasks on the ladder. A user can easily move the device up or down on the ladder, or swing the platform out of the way when ascending or descending. Tilt adjustment is facilitated for the foot platform, to accommodate different ladder inclinations. In addition, the portable step platform is configured to allow support of a scaffold plank on the top surface.
