STEP ADAPTER FOR RUNG LADDERS

Step adapters for a rung ladder to provide increased support surface or area is described. In one embodiment, the step adapter includes brace, platform, lock and safety bar sections. The lock, safety bar and platform sections structurally engage a rung of a ladder, and the brace section supports the adapter against rails of a ladder so that the step adapter provides an extended step structure to ease standing on the ladder. In another embodiment, the step adapter includes brace, platform and lock sections, where the platform section side edges are configured to lock the step adapter in place on a rung of a ladder. A tray overlay can be used in combination with the step adapter (which serves as support) to provide an area for holding work-related items. The step adapter can also include a securing element as an additional safety feature to anchor the adapter to a ladder.

A removable ladder step for providing a load support mountable to rung-ladders that have various rung cross-sections and/or various side rail depths. The removable ladder step has a load-supporting structure and a pair of adjustable holding devices connected thereto. The load-supporting structure has an upper wall connected to a front wall and to a rung-engaging wall. The upper wall configured to support a load thereon. A base member in a form of an elongated body is connected to the front wall and to the rung-engaging wall. An engaging space is formed in the rung-engaging wall for receiving and engaging a rung. Each of the adjustable holding devices has a holding member and a rail spacer connected thereto. The rail spacer is used to control a distance between a side rail and the holding member to accommodate ladders having various side rail depths.

Attachable Platform

An attachable platform providing a work surface affixed to the top cap of the ladder. The device includes a work surface and rails along the exterior edges of the work surface and slots therein. The slots receive an attachment device such as a hook and loop strap to attach the platform to the ladder. Protrusions are found on the back surface of the platform and are designed to accommodate the top cap of a ladder.

The ladder has a deep step, which has a width greater than the width of other steps of the ladder, in which is located between about 2-5 feet from the floor when the ladder is in the unfolded position so that a user can stand on the deep step and place objects into the attic without having to climb into the attic.

Ladder Step Extension Platform

The present disclosure provides a step extension platform for attachment to a ladder step having a step including a main body having a platform for supporting a user thereon. A first segmented portion is secured to the platform by a first hinge, and the first hinge has an axis of rotation extending along a width of the platform. A second segmented portion is secured to the second segmented portion by a second hinge, and the second hinge has an axis of rotation extending along the width of the platform. The platform, the first and the segmented portions each being pivotal between an open storage position and a closed working position to form a step channel adapted to surround and accommodate the ladder step. A bracket is secured to the second segmented portion and defining a space adapted to contain at least a portion of the ladder step.

A collapsible marine ladder has a stowed configuration and a deployed configuration. The collapsible marine ladder has a first rail, a second rail, and rungs. Each rung has a rung length spanning between the first rail and the second rail. A rung attachment is attached to each of the plurality of rungs, wherein the rung attachment comprises a rung attachment body, a recess along a bottom section of the rung attachment body for receiving the rung, and a top surface of the rung attachment body. A first section of the top surface is above the rung when the rung attachment is attached to the rung and the collapsible marine ladder is in the deployed configuration. A second section is cojoined with a front side of the first section and wherein the second section is downwardly angled such that an angle is formed between the first section and the second section.
