Top bracket for fall protection safety system
A top bracket for supporting a safety cable of a vertical climbing fall protection system, the bracket including a base plate and a pivotally deflectable plate that is integrally and pivotally connected to the base plate by a neck. The top bracket may also include an abutment plate with a forward abutment surface that is separated from a rearward abutment surface of the pivotally deflectable plate by an elongate gap.
Fall arrest system
A fall arrest system for a silo having a ladder is described. Silos typically have a slopping top and substantially vertical sides. Typically, multiple independent fail arrest systems are used, one for the sloping top and one for the vertical sides. The single fall arrest system described includes: a safety cable, having a top end and a bottom end, to which in use a user connects to; a collar for fitting at the top of the silo, around the neck of the silo to which the top end of safety cable is attached; a pulley at the transition of the slopping top and substantially vertical sides, wherein the pulley supports the safety cable at the transition; and securing means for securing the bottom of the safety cable at the base of the silo.
INTEGRATED CLIMB ASSIST AND FALL ARREST SYSTEMS AND METHODS
Integrated climb assist and fall arrest system and methods to assist users climbing ladders and vertical paths are disclosed. The integrated systems and comprise a controller connected to a user's harness, a static fall arrest cable, and a movable climb assist belt. The connection of the fall arrest components and the climb assist components may include physical connection, electronic connection, communication, or any combination thereof. The climb assist belt can be driven by a motor to provide an upwards climb assistance force to a user along a vertical path. The motor can be dynamically adjusted to continuously provide a level of climb assistance. The integrated controller is also configured to mechanically detect downwards movement and engage an overspeed braking mechanism when a threshold velocity or acceleration is detected.
LADDER STAND AND RELATED METHOD OF USE
A ladder stand includes a ladder, a platform, an optional seat, a tree engagement bracket, straps and strap diverter guides. The straps can be crisscrossed around the rear of the tree and extend forwardly to respective strap diverter guides. These guides can redirect the straps from a generally acute angle relative to the ladder to an orientation substantially parallel to the ladder, with the lower portions of the straps extending downwardly along the ladder. One or more tensioners can provide tension in the straps, thereby pulling the bracket into the tree under significant force to provide safe and stable securement of the ladder stand to the tree. The strap tensioning can be accomplished by a user on the ground, without ever having to climb the ladder or secure any additional straps to the tree. A related method of use is provided.
Pass-Through Cable Grab System
A pass-through cable grab system which allows a workman wearing a harness to move up and down a ladder on a tower or similar structure while being protected from falling by a vertically extending safety cable attached to the tower. The system includes at least one standoff bracket having a rear end secured to the tower and a forward end secured to the cable. A cable grab assembly includes a housing that can move vertically up and down the cable and further includes a brake mechanism. A lever extends from the housing and is connected to the workman through a lanyard. In the event of a fall, the lever moves downwardly activating the brake mechanism. The housing includes a vertically extending slot which allows the cable grab assembly to pass over the forward end of the standoff bracket as the cable grab assembly moves up and down. The standoff bracket also includes cam surfaces adjacent the top and bottom thereof which engage the housing as it moves toward the bracket to properly align the cable grab assembly so that it can pass over the standoff bracket.
Cable Guide for Fall Protection System
A cable guide for stabilizing a safety cable of a fall protection system. The cable guide includes an elongate member with an engaging end that is arcuately deflectable relative to a stationary end of the elongate member and that comprises a magnet.
Tether system for a safety line
A tether system for a safety line has an elongate guide track and stay elements arranged to move along the guide track and be carried at spaced positions along the length of a tether line. The system is typically employed in a fall arrest or protection system mounted to a structure, having an ascent/descent ladder fixed to the structure, the system including a self-retracting safety line device including a safety line, mounted at height.
FALL PROTECTION SYSTEM
A fall protection system having a top bracket assembly that is mountable to a top portion of the ladder, a spaced bottom bracket assembly that is mountable to a bottom portion of the ladder, and a cable extending therebetween portions of the top bracket assembly and the bottom bracket assembly substantially parallel to a plane bisecting the vertical ladder at a desired distance from the plane.
Safe Ladder- Safety Ladder Harness
Safe Ladder-Safety Laddery Harness is a new discovery for those whose climb ladders frequently. Safe Ladder-Safety Ladder Harness will keep you safe on any ladder! Just mount the sensor safety line eye bolts to the top and bottom and connect them with the safety braided steel cable. Now you can attach the safety retractable lanyard to the top and pull down the safety line. Put on the safety belt and attach the belt to the safety line from the retractable lanyard. When you climb a ladder, the tractable lanyard will retract and give you an extra safety element when climbing a ladder. It has a universe design to mount most ladders. Safe Ladder-Safety Ladder Harness is the safety device everyone needs to use when climbing a ladder. It's a perfect to resolve the problem of falling off a ladder.
Fall Arrester
A fall arrester used by utility linemen, communications and telecommunication workers that comprises a body defined by a pair of spaced apart frame members bridged by a floor, and a cam pivotally mounted to the body and sandwiched between the frame members. The cam includes teeth formed on its cam end and an eye formed at the end of the lever end. A carabiner or other connector is connected to the device through the eye and can be attached to the climber's full body harness. A rope passes between the frame members and between the cam and floor of the body.
