LADDER STABILIZER
Provided is ladder having an extension leg movable longitudinally in first and second directions opposite one another, and a stabilizer arm pivotably coupled to and movable with the extension leg. The stabilizer arm is pivotable about an axis perpendicular to the first and second directions such that the stabilizer arm is rotated relative to the extension leg to contact a surface to stabilize the ladder in a sideways direction perpendicular to the first and second directions.
Device for the Nivellation of Ladders
It is disclosed a nivellation device making it possible to place ladders horizontally on sloping ground. Such a device comprises a foundation (1) onto which there is secured/placed an elevated area (2), said elevated area (2) functioning as a fulcrum/see-sawing point for a plate (3) onto which plate (3) there may be placed or secured a ladder (I), and said plate 3 being equipped with securing devices (4) that may stay the position of the plate (3) in relation to the foundation (1). Additionally it is disclosed a tightening device for a wire that may be used for securing the nivellation device in a correct horizontal orientation and a device for ensuring that the ladder is not displaced in relation to a house wall.
Ladder Stabilizer
Provided is an adjustable extension for a ladder leg having an outer housing, an inner housing movable longitudinally relative to the outer housing in first and second directions opposite one another, and a stabilizer arm pivotably coupled to and movable with the inner housing. The stabilizer arm is pivotable about an axis perpendicular to the first and second directions such that the stabilizer arm is rotated relative to the inner housing to contact a surface to stabilize the extension in a sideways direction perpendicular to the first and second directions.
Support platform assembly
A support platform assembly is disclosed. The support platform assembly provides a level surface on which a ladder can be supported, and includes an extendable platform, a first set of legs and a second set of legs. The extendable platform includes a first plate having a flat top surface and a second plate having a flat top surface, the second plate being slidable relative to the first plate between a retracted position and an extended position such that a length of the platform increases as the second plate slides from the retracted position to the extended position. The first set of legs are pivotably coupled to a bottom surface of the first plate, and the second set of legs are pivotably coupled to a bottom surface of the second plate, the first and second sets of legs being configured to vertically support the platform.
Support for supporting a structure on a surface
A support for supporting a structure on a surface, comprising at least one support element, each support element comprising a piston, a cylinder in which the piston is moveable, and a brake for maintaining the piston in a position that is stable relative to the cylinder, wherein the piston and the cylinder are arranged so that a loading associated with the structure effects an adjustment of the support element, and wherein an increase in hydraulic pressure within the cylinder, effected by the loading associated with the structure, activates the brake.
Climbing system
A climbing system for inhibiting a ladder from tipping includes a ladder that may be climbed. A platform is provided and the platform may be positioned on a support surface. The ladder is removably coupled to the platform such that the platform inhibits the ladder from tipping.
ADJUSTMENT MECHANISMS, LADDERS INCORPORATING SAME AND RELATED METHODS
Ladders, ladder components and related methods are provided. In some embodiments, adjustable stepladders are provided which include locking mechanisms that enable height adjustment of the ladder through application of a force towards the rails of the ladder. The locking mechanism may include a base or bracket, a handle or lever pivotally coupled with the bracket, an engagement pin coupled with the lever, a biasing member to bias the handle towards a first position relative to the bracket, and a detent mechanism for retaining the lever in at least a second position relative to the bracket.
Climbing System
A climbing system for inhibiting a ladder from tipping includes a ladder that may be climbed. A platform is provided and the platform may be positioned on a support surface. The ladder is removably coupled to the platform such that the platform inhibits the ladder from tipping.
LADDER BRACE
The present invention concerns a ladder brace. More particularly, but not exclusively, this invention concerns a ladder brace for engaging with the legs of a ladder thereby providing stability to the ladder. A ladder brace comprises a receiving portion for receiving and engaging with the stiles of a ladder, and at least one support member extending away from the receiving portion. The receiving portion comprises an aperture with a first inner edge and second inner edge, wherein the first inner edge is disposed away from and opposite to the second inner edge, such that when a ladder is placed within the receiving portion each ladder stile engages with the first inner edge and second inner edge.
