Ladder footing apparatus
A ladder footing apparatus for supporting the base of a ladder, wherein the ladder is being positioned against a first wall structure at a top end of the ladder. The ladder footing apparatus includes an elongated handle having respective one and other opposed ends, a resilient pad member supported at one end of the elongated handle, the resilient pad member for engaging a second wall structure that is in opposed position to said first wall structure, and a hook member supported at the other opposed end of the elongated handle, said hook member for engaging a lower rung of the ladder.
Ladder footing apparatus
A ladder footing apparatus for supporting the base of a ladder, wherein the ladder is being positioned against a first wall structure at a top end of the ladder. The ladder footing apparatus includes an elongated handle having respective one and other opposed ends, a resilient pad member supported at one end of the elongated handle, the resilient pad member for engaging a second wall structure that is in opposed position to said first wall structure, and a hook member supported at the other opposed end of the elongated handle, said hook member for engaging a lower rung of the ladder.
LADDER BUMPER
A ladder bumper for use with a ladder. Each ladder bumper comprises a generally U-section rail channel and at least one opposing pair of rung slots in legs in the channel. Each ladder bumper further comprises a generally U-section protective pad, wherein the web portion of the U-section provides a pad web planar surface. Preferably, a pad web thickened portion on the pad web includes an angle-setting protrusion (ASP), the ASP including an ASP planar surface, wherein the ASP planar surface and the pad web planar surface subtend a predetermined ASP angle. The protective pad is received over and affixed snugly to the rail channel. In use, the rail channel of each of a pair of ladder bumpers is received over a corresponding one of the ladder rails and the rung slots are received over selected ladder rungs. The ladder bumpers may then be locked in position with U-bolt locks.
Ladder anchoring assembly
A ladder anchoring assembly includes a first mount that has a first space for insertably receiving a foot of a ladder and a first engagement for engaging the foot of the ladder. The first mount is attachable to a support surface upon which the foot of the ladder is positioned. A second mount is included that has a second space therein for insertably receiving the foot of the ladder and a second engagement for engaging the foot of the ladder. The second mount is attachable to the support surface having the second mount being directed toward the first mount. Thus, each of the first mount and the second mount surrounds the foot of ladder. In this way the first mount and the second mount restrain the foot of the ladder on the support surface.
Ladder anchoring assembly
A ladder anchoring assembly includes a first mount that has a first space for insertably receiving a foot of a ladder and a first engagement for engaging the foot of the ladder. The first mount is attachable to a support surface upon which the foot of the ladder is positioned. A second mount is included that has a second space therein for insertably receiving the foot of the ladder and a second engagement for engaging the foot of the ladder. The second mount is attachable to the support surface having the second mount being directed toward the first mount. Thus, each of the first mount and the second mount surrounds the foot of ladder. In this way the first mount and the second mount restrain the foot of the ladder on the support surface.
Apparatus and Method for Stabilizing a Ladder
A device is for securing a ladder against falling to one side. The device has a first reel and a second reel. The first reel has a first elongated, flexible connecting means arranged to be run to an anchor via one end portion of the ladder. The second reel has a second elongated, flexible connecting means arranged to be run to an anchor via the second end portion of the ladder. A locking mechanism is for locking the elongated flexible connecting means. The device is mountable on the ladder in such a way that, in a position of use, the locking mechanism is accessible from one end portion of the ladder. A ladder mounted with the device and a method is for securing the ladder against falling to one side.
Apparatus and Method for Stabilizing a Ladder
A device is for securing a ladder against falling to one side. The device has a first reel and a second reel. The first reel has a first elongated, flexible connecting means arranged to be run to an anchor via one end portion of the ladder. The second reel has a second elongated, flexible connecting means arranged to be run to an anchor via the second end portion of the ladder. A locking mechanism is for locking the elongated flexible connecting means. The device is mountable on the ladder in such a way that, in a position of use, the locking mechanism is accessible from one end portion of the ladder. A ladder mounted with the device and a method is for securing the ladder against falling to one side.
FALL CONTROL LADDER
The invention is directed broadly to a ladder having a fall control system, comprising: a ladder; a tensioner mounted towards a bottom end of the ladder; a mount mounted towards a top end of the ladder; a cable that extends from the tensioner and over the mount in a looped configuration; and an arrestor movably engaged with the cable for coupling a user to the cable, wherein the tensioner has a locked configuration for holding tension on the cable to support a weight of the user and an open configuration for allowing the cable to pass through the tensioner.
Ladders, mechanisms and components for ladders, and related methods
Ladders and ladder components are provided including feet for ladders configured for securement of the ladder to a supporting surface, adjustable leg members for ladders, bearing members for ladders, and adjustment mechanisms for ladders. In one embodiment, an adjustment mechanism may include a first pair of spaced apart rails, a pair of adjustable legs having a first end hingedly coupled to one of a pair of adjustment mechanisms and a second end coupled with a foot. The adjustment mechanisms may be slidably coupled with the rails and in one embodiment, each adjustment mechanism is selectively displaceable along a length of its associated rail only when upward force is absent from the adjustment mechanism, the upward force being defined in a direction from a lower end of the associated rail towards the adjustment mechanism.
Ladders, mechanisms and components for ladders, and related methods
