COMBINATION LADDERS, LADDER COMPONENTS AND RELATED METHODS
Ladders and ladder components are described herein, including multipurpose and adjustable ladders. In one embodiment, a ladder includes a first assembly having rails and rungs, a second assembly having rails and rungs, and one or more hinges coupling the first and second assemblies together such that the first and second assembly may be positioned relative to one another in at least a position or state and at least a second position or state. A top cap is coupled to the rails of the first assembly, such that when the first and second assemblies are in the first position, the rails of the second assembly do not contact the top cap. When the first and second assemblies are in the second position, each rail of the second assembly is at least partially nested in one of a pair of channels formed in the top cap.

Underwater platform installation in an existing swimming pool
A retro-fit installation modifies the existing pool ladder structure of an existing in-ground or above-ground swimming pool to support an underwater swim out platform structure. In some versions, the ladder rails of the existing pool ladder are used to support the underwater platform, while in others the existing pool ladder rails are replaced with new tubular platform rails specifically designed to support the underwater platform structure. Other versions are adapted for installations in a round pool or at a corner of a rectangular pool.
Underwater Platform Installation in an Existing Swimming Pool
A retro-fit installation modifies the existing pool ladder structure of an existing in-ground or above-ground swimming pool to support an underwater swim out platform structure. In some versions, the ladder rails of the existing pool ladder are used to support the underwater platform, while in others the existing pool ladder rails are replaced with new tubular platform rails specifically designed to support the underwater platform structure. A multifunction stabilizer for attachment to a ladder includes: a frame including a base, a first arm connected to a first lateral side of the base and extending in a forward direction, a second arm connected to a second lateral side of the base opposite the first lateral side and extending in the forward direction, and a bracket-engagement member connected to the base and extending in a rearward direction opposite the forward direction; a rearward bracket including a base-engagement member, a first ladder-engagement wing extending from a first lateral end of the base-engagement member, and a second ladder-engagement wing extending from a second lateral end of the base-engagement member opposite the first lateral end; and a fastener for selectively locking the bracket-engagement member into engagement with the base-engagement member such that capture channels for receiving the rails of a ladder are defined between the arms and the ladder-engagement wings.
Ladder stabilization apparatus with adjustable bracing members for use on inside and outside corners of a structure
A ladder stabilization apparatus features a ladder engagement unit, and first and second bracing members attached to the engagement unit at a side thereof that faces outwardly from the ladder and each having a respective contact side for abutting against a structure during. The bracing members are securable to the ladder engagement unit in a first position in which the contact sides diverge away from the ladder, and a second position in which the contact sides converge away from the ladder. Placement of the braces in the first position accommodates diverging walls of an outside corner of the structure, while placement of the braces in the second orientation accommodates converging walls of an inside corner of the structure against the contact sides of the bracing members. A slot between the bracing members in the second position accommodates a wall stud or other dimensional frame unit.
