Ladder-Supporting Gutter Clamping System
A clamping system for supporting an extension ladder on a gutter utilizes at least one and, more preferably, a pair of identical, clamp(s) to capture the ladder preventing movement laterally or horizontally away from the gutter. The clamp includes a clamp body with a latch pivotably mounted thereto which is spring biased to the gutter-clamping position. A lock screw may be utilized to prevent the latch from releasing the gutter preventing the ladder from moving. A pair of ears extends from each side of the clamp body and have slots which engage the channels on a forward face of the ladder leg.
Safety device for ladders
Walk-through safety devices for ladders meeting ANSI and OSHA standards are positioned at the top end of the ladder and are comprised of two, juxtapose-position, mirror image members. One each is mounted on a respective ladder side rail, Each member includes a sleeve (or rectangular tube) which slides down over a respective ladder side rail, a pressure bar which is tightened against the side rail with a knob operated screw, a pivoting engaging lock plate, and a lock plate tab cover plate. A horizontal hand grip framework is held outboard of the ladder side rails vertically upward, being at an angle of about 14.5 degrees upward from the longitudinal axis of the sleeve and side rail when resting against a structure. The framework is held in that position by a flared tube which is bent in two directions.
Ladder stabilizer attachment device
A ladder stabilizer attachment device secures a ladder stabilizer to a ladder. The device includes a sleeve including an outer wall. The outer wall has an outer face, an inner face, an upper end, and a lower end. The lower end is open. A slot extends into the inner face from the lower end to receive a top end of a ladder side rail and an uppermost rung of the ladder into the slot. A top edge of the slot defines a stop whereby the stop rests upon the uppermost rung of the ladder. A coupler is mounted to the sleeve. The coupler releasably engages the uppermost rung of the ladder.
Ladder fascia clamp and lock
A clamping device for securing a ladder to a structure including a housing having a first, ladder end, and a second, building end opposite the ladder end, the housing defining an internal cavity. The clamping device utilizes a clamp with a housing end disposed within the housing and an opposite, grip end configured for releasable attachment to the structure. The clamp laterally reciprocates relative to the housing between an extended position and a retracted position. Additionally, the clamping device also includes a ladder hook associated with the ladder end of the housing for releasable engagement with the ladder, and an actuator associated with the housing and configured for causing lateral reciprocation of the clamp relative to the housing.
Ladder safety device
A ladder safety device (100) is usable for holding and stabilizing a ladder in a safe and stable manner while being used, by way of securing a ladder relative to continuous horizontal guttering at the edge of a building. The device (100) locks to the gutter by way of locking jaws (130), (160) and is secured to the side rail of a ladder by way of an adjustable locking bar (140). Improvements to the initial design include an adjustable jaw (134) for clamping different thicknesses of gutter or other support material, selectable jaw strips (164a) to accommodate different types of gutters, and a ratcheting height adjustment carriage (150) for the locking bar (140) to accommodate different sizes of ladder rails.
