20180106421 · 2018-04-19 ·

A mounting bracket for storing large items, such as ladders, off of the ground and on a wall structure. The bracket can store up to three ladders or similar items using a pair of mounting prongs forming a Y-bracket, and a pair of mounting hooks which can receive bungee cords for stretching and connecting around ladder rungs. The bracket can mount to a wall structure by inserting mounting screws through a pair of mounting holes and drilling the mounting screws into the wall or a wall stud.

Mounting brackets and utility mount

A selectively adjustable and lockable utility mount is used to mount a device to a stable structure. The utility mount includes a hydraulic lock that applies the locking force that maintains the locked condition of the utility mount. Mounting brackets for utility mounts have spaced-apart mount elements that engage a surface of a stable structure. Some configurations of mounting bracket include mount elements that are movable between stored conditions and deployed conditions. The stored conditions reduce the size of the device to make it more convenient to pack. A climbing stick uses the storable mount elements.

A garage door ladder storage device includes at least one base structure and at least two ladder brackets. The base structure includes a brace and a plurality of garage panel detachable mounting devices connected to the brace. The two ladder brackets are spaced apart and secured to the at least one base structure. Each of the ladder brackets includes at least one first ladder support section and at least one second ladder support section. The first ladder support section is coupled to the base structure and provides a first surface to support a ladder in a first direction. The second ladder support section extends from the first ladder support section and provides a second surface to support the ladder in a second direction.

A ladder with increased stability during use is disclosed that includes support members that rotate into position to prevent the ladder from tipping or falling over during use. The support members may also provide a platform for temporary and secure storage of objects that are to be accessed before or after using the ladder, thus reducing the risk of injury to a user attempting to climb the ladder with an object to be accessed after climbing. The ladder further includes the capability to become mobile between uses or work locations by detaching from brackets or by not utilizing brackets at all. When not in use, the support members of the ladder rotate to align with the ladder in some embodiments or with bracket assemblies in other embodiments to further facilitate movement of the ladder and reduce the space required for storage.

A ladder may be provided for mounting to a structure. The ladder may include one or more side rails, a plurality of rungs, one or more arms, one or more legs, and an adjustment assembly. Each of the plurality of rungs may extend between the first side rail and the second side rail. When the ladder is mounted to a structure, the one or more arms may be configured to abut an inside surface of the structure and maintain a predetermined distance between the plurality of rungs and the structure. The one or more legs may be configured to extend proximate to an outside surface of the structure when the ladder is mounted to the structure. The one or more legs may be configured to hinder movement of the ladder in the second direction. The adjustment assembly may be configured to be operated to secure the ladder to the structure.

Strand grab, ladder and method

A strand grab for a ladder having a hook assembly, a gate assembly engaged with the hook assembly and a biasing spring. The biasing spring produces a return biasing force which is less than a weight force of the ladder when the hook assembly rests on the strand allowing the gate assembly to close with the hook assembly and squeeze the strand between the gate assembly and the hook assembly in a closed position and hold the ladder in place with the strand. A ladder for use with a strand having a first rail and a second rail. The first rail has a first strand grab directly attached to the first rail and the second rail has a second stand grab directly attached to the second rail. A method for using a ladder. A method for making a ladder.
