ROTARY DRILL HEAD FOR COILED TUBING DRILLING APPARATUS
A mobile, coiled tubing drilling apparatus with a rotary drill head, the apparatus including a non-rotating mast on a mobile platform, the mast having mounted thereon an injector below a coiled tubing reel, the injector defining an operational axis for the coiled tubing, wherein the rotary drill head is pivotally mounted on the injector so as to be movable between a retracted position away from the operational axis and an operating position in line with the operational axis, the rotary drill head including a top swivel for non-rotating connection to the coiled tubing and a bottom spindle for rotating connection to a pipe section, the top swivel and the bottom spindle providing fluid communication between connected coiled tubing and connected pipe section during operation.
MOBILE COILED TUBING DRILLING APPARATUS
A mobile, coiled tubing drilling apparatus, the apparatus including a non-rotating mast on a mobile platform, the mast having mounted thereon an injector, a coiled tubing reel having a tubing pay-off point associated therewith, and a tubing control system, wherein the tubing control system is between the reel and the injector, and includes a tubing abutment adjacent the tubing pay-off point for applying an opposite bend to the tubing during pay-out of the tubing, and the reel is mounted for horizontal (x,y) movement such that, during pay-out of the tubing, the tubing pay-off point can be maintained generally above the injector, and can also be moved towards or away from the tubing abutment.
Tool carrier for a well rig
A tool carrier, which is also known as a top drive or a power swivel, for a well operation rig includes link arms coupled between the rotating hook assembly and the lower pipe gripping structure, the link arms each secured to the rotating hook assembly by a first rigid connection and secured to the lower pipe gripping structure by a second rigid connection such that the link arms can extend along well center even when operating in slant. Another tool carrier includes a hinge between the mast and the main housing. The hinge permits the tool carrier to be moved into a more central position when folded onto the rig chassis for transport.
Local electrical room module for well construction apparatus
An apparatus having a skid, a boom having a first end attached to the skid and pivotable around an axis proximate the first end such that a second end of the boom raises and lowers relative to the skid, and a room mounted on the skid. The apparatus may further include a raisable apparatus supported by the second end of the boom and having one or more plug panels configured to connect to one or more first cables. The apparatus may also include second cables routed from the raisable apparatus and attached to and supported at least in part by the boom, wherein the second cables may be configured to provide electrical power to the raisable apparatus.
Excavating machine with control system of the combined drive of two winches
An excavating machine includes an actuation unit for moving the excavator, a main winch and secondary winch for lifting and lowering the actuation unit. A closed hydraulic circuit or an electric circuit drives the main winch. An open hydraulic circuit drives the secondary winch. A first pressure or current sensor measures fluid pressure or, electric current intensity in the hydraulic or electric driving circuit. A second pressure sensor measures fluid pressure in the open hydraulic circuit. A pressure regulator regulates fluid pressure in the open hydraulic circuit. A control unit executes a combined operating condition with the winches applying a force simultaneously and based on values sensed, controls the pressure regulator so the fluid pressure in the open hydraulic circuit, during the combined operating condition, has a target value that is a function of: the fluid pressure in the closed hydraulic circuit or the current in the electric circuit.
DRILLING RIG
A drilling rig includes a base section, a first section, a second section, a third section and a fourth section. For the base section upper region, a fixed pulley block and a guide pulley are installed. Except for the fourth section-crown block section, each section lower region is installed with a lifting lug for a movable pulley block installation for substantially vertical lifting. The crown block section is installed substantially vertical; the subsequent section is located substantially horizontal with the section front pillar upper region connecting to the previous section front pillar lower region. The previous section is substantially vertical lifted to draw the next section skidding into the base section and lifting substantially vertical with the previous section pillar lower region connected to the next section pillar upper region. Dismount the movable pulley block from the previous section and installed the movable pulley block with the adjacent section lifting lug.
Wireline system and methods of using same
A wireline system for use during drilling operations. The wireline system has a wireline assembly and a roller assembly. Both the wireline assembly and the roller assembly are positioned within a front portion of a drill rig. Described herein, in one aspect, is a wireline system for use on a drill rig. The drill rig can comprise a drilling system, and the drilling system can comprise a mast, a drill string, and a drill head configured to impart rotation to the drill string within a drilling formation.
Drilling rig
A method of assembling a drilling rig may include aligning a trailer with a drilling rig support structure, the trailer carrying a mast and the drilling rig support structure including a step-down substructure. A first end of the mast may be positioned over the drilling rig support structure and arms may be extended from the mast to the drilling rig support structure so that the drilling rig support structure supports the first end of the mast. The mast may translate along a length of the drilling rig support structure. The mast may be coupled to the drilling rig support structure.
