SHALLOW WELL-DRILLING APPARATUS

A portable, shallow well-drilling apparatus is described. The apparatus is lightweight, modular, and easy to transport to and assemble at a remote drill site. The apparatus includes a generally rectangular frame having a plurality of multi-segment support beams in spaced relation extending vertically from a lower base to a top cap, no component of which exceeds five feet in length, a winch assembly attached to the frame, and a motor removably mounted on the frame and slidable up and down the beams via the winch assembly. The apparatus further includes a transmission removably coupled to the motor, and a drill pipe assembly removably coupled to the transmission.

High speed precision guide device for creating holes for piles or other support members

A guide device and associated methods for forming a hole in the ground using compression or other means. In one example, the guide device includes a compression hammer having a hammer tip; a guide frame member for guiding the compression hammer into one or more positions along the guide frame member; and a movement control assembly securing the compression hammer to the guide frame, the movement control assembly selectively moving said compression hammer along said guide frame, so that said compression hammer forms the hole in the ground. By compressing soil materials, which has the effect of increasing soil density around the hole, a more rigid and accurate hole (i.e., within higher dimensional tolerances) is created when compared with holes created by drilling/boring/excavation.

Rock drill machine with feed leg
09670743 · 2017-06-06 · ·

A rock drill machine with a feed leg. The feed leg is attached to the rock drill machine with one end and rests on a support with another end. The feed leg is configured to feed the rock drill machine in a drilling direction and to interrupt feeding of the rock drill machine in the drilling direction. A control regulates the feed leg and a starter activates the rock drill machine. The control is provided on a rear handle in close proximity to the starter such that the control and the starter can be reached at the same time with one hand. Hereby, it is possible, with one hand, to activate and interrupt activation of the rock drill machine respectively, and simultaneously regulate the feed leg to feed the rock drill machine in the drilling direction and interrupt the feeding of the rock drill machine in the drilling direction.

PORTABLE POWER ROTARY DEVICE PROVIDED WITH DRILL HAVING EARTHWORK AND CUT-OFF FUNCTIONS
20170107765 · 2017-04-20 ·

A rotary device having mounted therein a drill for soil earthwork. The drill includes a shaft and a screw, formed along the outer circumferential surface of the shaft, for earthwork and the transportation of displaced soil. A rotary shaft is formed on the upper part of the shaft. A fixed shaft part is formed on the lower part of the shaft, for being inserted and rotated into the soil. A pair of horizontal blades face each other on the connection part between the shaft and the fixed shaft part. Cutting blades, which are symmetrical with each other, incline downwardly on the pair of horizontal blades. Vertical blades protrude vertically on the upper portion of the lower wing of the screw and, when performing earthwork, soil and tree roots are cut by the cutting blades, and soil lumps, transferred along the screw, are cut again by the vertical blades.

SELF-PROPELLED, TOWABLE CORING APPARATUS

A self-propelled, towable coring apparatus includes a base structure having at least one primary wheel. A rotary spindle drives a coring element. A support mechanism supports the rotary spindle and displaces the rotary spindle upwardly and downwardly relative to a ground surface. At least one engine is supported by the base structure and provides power to the at least one primary wheel to propel the apparatus, and to the rotary spindle to drive the coring element. A tow member is connected to the base structure for trailering the apparatus by a towing vehicle.

The present invention relates to a receiver hitch-mounted ice drill device for ice fishing. The device allows a user to move an ice drill while attached to a vehicle while the drill remains outside of the vehicle. In addition, the device allows a user to remotely operate an ice drill of the device from within a vehicle.

Method and apparatus for removing debris from a drill hole during drilling
12345106 · 2025-07-01 ·

A system for removing debris from a drill hole comprising a drill rod having a first lumen and a second lumen extending parallel to the first lumen; a drill bit having a channel configured to be fluidically connected to the first lumen of the drill rod and a channel configured to be fluidically connected to the second lumen of the drill rod; a container fluidically connected to the second lumen; and a compressor which (i) pumps pressurized air through the first lumen and through a channel of the drill bit into the drill hole, and (ii) pumps air out of the container so as to generate a vacuum, which vacuum is fluidically connected to the second lumen, such that debris in the hole enters a channel of the drill bit and passes through the second lumen of the drill rod into the container.

Earth auger

A hole is formed in a drill target with improved workability. An electric work machine includes a motor, a motor housing accommodating the motor, a handle housing including a grip including a trigger switch operable to activate the motor, a reducer, a gear housing accommodating the reducer, a rotation output unit protruding frontward from the gear housing and rotatable under a rotational force transmitted from the motor through the reducer with a drill bit being attached to the rotation output unit, and a handle fastened to the gear housing and at least partially located laterally from the gear housing.

Adjustable drilling rig
12428911 · 2025-09-30 · ·

An adjustable drilling rig is provided for drilling and installation of foundational micropile matrices in difficult to access locations. A support frame of separately adjustable legs define a perimeter of the rig and drilling area. A translational frame of arms and a crossbar is selectively mounted to the support frame for easy transport and assembly at remote work sites. The crossbar is selectively slidable along the arms in a Y-axis direction. A crossbar bushing is selectively slidable along the crossbar in an X-axis direction. A mast is slidably attached to and movable with the crossbar. Various adjusters are included and are independently and selectively activated to move the crossbar, and therefore mast and attached drill head, translationally along the X- and Y-axes, optionally Z-axis, and rotationally about the X- and Y-axes to achieve five degrees of freedom in five planes for drilling at any angle within the drilling area.
