A drill string apparatus includes an upper casing section having a port collar. The port collar provides a controllable opening from an interior of the upper casing section to an annulus around the upper casing section. A lower casing section is coupled to the upper casing section through a swivel. The lower casing section includes an external casing packer and a casing pad coupled to an external portion of the lower casing section. The external casing packer is expandable to an annulus around the lower casing section before a cement operation to avoid cement loss circulation to weak formation below the packer. Methods and systems are also disclosed.

A constant velocity joint for downhole power transmission has a first insert mounted in a radially extending drive shaft arm. The first insert engages a second insert mounted along a slot formed in a tubular housing disposed to receive the arm. The material for the two inserts may be different, having different galling properties. An insert may be shaped to have at least a flat surface, a cylindrical surface intersecting the flat surface, and a conical surface intersecting the cylindrical surface. The inserts may extend beyond the cavities in which they are mounted. Opposing cavity walls adjacent the cavity opening may be angled away from one another to permit the insert to flex under a load. The back wall of a cavity and back surface of an insert may be arcuate to permit rotational movement of the insert under a load.

Drilling tool

The drilling tool includes a circular-cylindrical casing pipe; an annular ring bit disposed at a leading end of the casing pipe so as to be coaxial with the casing pipe and rotatable around a central axis of the casing pipe; and a pilot bit inserted into the casing pipe and has a leading end disposed at an inner peripheral part of the ring bit. The ring bit is engaged with the pilot bit in a rotational direction, and thereby is rotatable integrally with the pilot bit and is locked to the leading end of the pilot bit. Drilling tips are mounted on the leading ends of the pilot bit and the ring bit, and first drilling tips at an outermost periphery of the pilot bit and second drilling tips at an innermost periphery of the ring bit overlap each other in a rotational trajectory around the central axis.

A rotor shaft is rotatably supported on the housing. The rotor shaft has an interior passage and defines the other of a stator and a rotor of the turbine. The rotor shaft has a coupling at one end to attach a well intervention tool. A flow diverter is disposed within the housing. The flow diverter comprises ports to selectively direct flow of fluid from an interior of the housing to either (i) an annular space between the housing and the rotor shaft, or (ii) the interior passage of the rotor shaft. The flow diverter is operable to change direction of the flow of fluid by changing a flow rate of the flow of fluid.

A motor device moves the distribution apparatus on the supporting body.

The invention relates to an arrangement for enabling well developing. The invention, particularly relates to an arrangement for enabling well developing comprising a top part, a middle part, and a bottom part. The top part has a clamp and wire safety catch for tightly connecting the air hose and the air pipe. The massive amount of the pressurized air is used for well developing. At the middle part, the pressurized air is mixed with the water blowing/pulling out from the siphon. The bottom part has opening outlet of the cone shape, which helps in spreading the air evenly down to the deflector plate. This further helps slightly shooting air into the sides cleaning the perforations directly and redirects the air up instead of blindly down. Also the hundreds of gallons of water falling back down will also put pressure on the deflector plate forcing it deeper into the well. The arrangement is particularly useful for well developing at more than 100 ft underneath the surface of the earth.

The present disclosure relates generally to a well boring apparatus, and associated components, for drilling wellbores without the necessity of traditional well drilling equipment. The well boring apparatus operates on similar principles as a tunnel boring apparatus. The well boring apparatus is self-propelled, steerable, and can be launched from a topside vessel or directly from a seabed installation. The well boring apparatus is fully instrumented and capable of analyzing the surrounding environment including the temperature, pressure, acidity and the presence of particular chemicals. The well boring apparatus is highly modular such that it can be configured for different tasks. The well boring apparatus can include components to case/line the wellbore during drilling, eliminating the need for running casing/lining. Further, the well boring apparatus can be incorporated in a drilling system in which cuttings are processed at the seabed, thereby removing the need for a drilling riser.
