Drill bit with offset counter-rotating cutters
A drill bit is provided. The drill bit includes a bit body and an axle disposed in the bit body. The axle includes a first axle portion extending in a longitudinal direction and a second axle portion extending in the longitudinal direction. A longitudinal end of the first axle portion is continuous with a longitudinal end of the second axle portion. When viewed from the longitudinal direction, the first axle portion and the second axle portion are not coaxial, and an outer perimeter of the first axle portion is located entirely within an outer perimeter of the second axle portion. The drill bit also includes a first cutter disposed on the first axle portion and a second cutter disposed on the second axle portion.

APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR DRIVING A CAVITY IN MINING
A device for advancing a cavity in underground mining, including a rotary drive, an axial shaft that is rotatable together with the rotary drive about a longitudinal axis, exactly one extraction drum that is rotatable about an drum rotational axis, and a connecting arrangement which is connected to the axial shaft and which supports the extraction drum, the connecting arrangement being configured in such a way that the drum rotational axis and the longitudinal axis lie in a plane, and are oriented at an acute angle with respect to one another in the advancing direction, in all operating positions during the advancement, characterized in that the extraction drum extends over at least an effective radius of the device in the radial direction of the device during advancement of the cavity.
Rotary drill bit
A rotary dill bit with a drill bit head and a connecting portion, wherein the rotary bit is positioned and oriented for shearing a surface of a subterranean formation. The drill bit head is comprised of one or more cutting discs, wherein each cutting disc is rotatably mounted to at least one shaft between a pair of support structures with each cutting disc having a cutting disc edge extending outwardly beyond the support structures. The cutting discs have cutting inserts in an overlapping pattern, wherein each cutting insert comprises a projection extending from the cutting disc edge and angled from the cutting disc edge at a side rake and a front rake angle.
