Quick connection arrangements with locking mechanisms
Quick connect arrangements for securing together first and second tubular members. A securing sleeve helps secure the connection together and include locking arrangements which ensure that the securing sleeve cannot be inadvertently unthreaded.

Milling well casing using electromagnetic pulse
An electromagnetic perforation device for well casings includes a coil disposed around a core carried by a mandrel. The device further includes a power supply coupled to a current supply device, which is coupled to said coil. A stabilizing member extends from the mandrel and spaced apart on the mandrel from the coil core. The electromagnetic performance device may be positioned in a well casing, and the current supply device may rapidly supply a current to the coil to created an electromagnetic field in the coil and simultaneously induces a magnetic field in the well casing. The coil, current, and well casing may be selected such that electromagnetic field and the magnetic field produce repulsive magnetic forces that are sufficient to overcome a yield strength of the well casing and perforate the well casing.

CONNECTORS FOR HIGH TEMPERATURE GEOTHERMAL WELLS
The invention relates to connectors for casings used in high temperature wells. The connectors of the present invention may be used for connecting casing segments of geothermal or oil wells. The connector is simple in design and able to take up thermal expansion due to temperature change when high temperature media starts to flow through the casings and when the well needs to be cooled down for maintenance. The connector of the present invention uses a new sealing mechanism for preventing leaking during operation.

DOWNHOLE COUPLING MECHANISM
A downhole coupling mechanism for use in downhole tools that find application in wells exploited by a hydraulic refracturing process. The downhole coupling mechanism connects first and second tubular sections via a tensile load arrangement of wires located in complimentary grooves, a torque arrangement of interlocking lugs and notches on opposite ends, and a seal arrangement. The downhole coupling mechanism provides a thin walled coupling where a screw-threaded connection could not achieve the required tensile load, torque and sealing properties needed. Embodiments of a thin walled anchor and packer including the downhole coupling mechanism are described.
Surface platform for use with surface bops and high-pressure risers
A mudline closure device is lowered between tensioners coupled to a deck of a vessel or rig onto a subsea wellhead. A tensioner platform is then attached to the tensioners. The tensioner platform includes a platform opening having an inner diameter through which an emergency disconnect system may pass. The tensioner platform also includes rotation bearings secured in the platform opening. A split support includes outer surfaces disposed along its circumference. The outer surfaces are seated on the rotation bearings. The split support includes a support opening having an inner diameter through which a marine riser may pass. The split support also includes a landing shoulder secured in the support opening to suspend a surface blowout preventer to the deck. As the vessel or rig changes direction, the split support rotates relative to the tensioner platform without imparting excessive torsion on the marine riser.
Riser tools and methods
Torque tool (200) configured for making up and breaking out joints (1a, 1b) in a riser (100), the tool (200) comprising: a tool body (3) and a tool head (4), the tool head (4) having a socket (4′) configured to receive a head (14) of a bolt (2) and apply a torque on the bolt (2), a torque sensor (20) operable to measure the torque applied on the bolt (2), and a pre-tension sensor (21) operable to measure a pre-tension in the longitudinal extension of the bolt (2) when the bolt (2) is received in the tool head (4). There is also provided a method for pre-tensioning bolted riser joints (1a, 1b) comprising a plurality of bolts (2), a method of managing a plurality of bolts (2) for riser joints (1a, 1b), a method of managing a plurality of bolts (2) for riser joints (1a, 1b), and a riser connector (101).
ROTATING AND RECIPROCATING SWIVEL APPARATUS AND METHOD
What is provided is a method and apparatus wherein a swivel can be detachably connected to an annular blowout preventer thereby separating the drilling fluid or mud into upper and lower sections and allowing the fluid to be displaced in two stages, such as while the drill string is being rotated and/or reciprocated. In one embodiment the sleeve or housing can be rotatably and sealably connected to a mandrel. The swivel can be incorporated into a drill or well string and enabling string sections both above and below the sleeve to be rotated in relation to the sleeve. In one embodiment the drill or well string does not move in a longitudinal direction relative to the swivel. In one embodiment, the drill or well string does move longitudinally relative to the sleeve or housing of the swivel.
