Method of making a downhole swellable seal with a passageway therethrough
A method of making a downhole swellable seal with a passageway therethrough includes, perimetrically surrounding a first tubular with a first substantially nonswellable material, perimetrically surrounding at least one second tubular with a second substantially nonswellable material, positioning the at least one second tubular adjacent the first tubular, perimetrically surrounding the first tubular and the at least one second tubular with a swellable material, curing the first substantially nonswellable material, curing the second substantially nonswellable material, and curing the swellable material.
Apparatus and method for subsea strapping band attachment
A system for installing a band around a rigid subsea structure includes a remotely operated vehicle (ROV) having a main body. A set of jaws extendable beyond an outer perimeter of the main body are coupled to the ROV. The system also includes a band distribution system operatively and a band installation mechanism operatively coupled to the ROV.
Riser clamp assembly
A clamp assembly for coupling an auxiliary line to a marine riser includes a clamp body having a central axis and an interface radially spaced from the central axis and a clamp cap having an interface configured to be inserted axially into the interface of the clamp body, wherein the clamp body is configured to clamp to the marine riser, and the clamp body and clamp cap are configured to retain the auxiliary line in an aperture formed between the interface of the clamp body and the interface of the clamp cap.
WELL INJECTION AND PRODUCTION METHODS, APPARATUS AND SYSTEMS
A method and system for enhancing petroleum production are provided, in which a fracturing operation can be conducted in a formation through a string and then petroleum is displaced from the fractured formation by selectively injecting fluid into selected fractures in the formation while other non-selected fractures remain without fluid injection. The injected fluid flows out into the fractured formation and enhances recovery from the non-selected fractures. Petroleum is selectively collected from the non-selected fractures.
DEVICE FOR PROTECTING AND ATTACHING CABLE TO PIPES
The invention relates to safety devices for cable power lines of submersible electric motors used as drives of centrifugal pumps for the production of oil and other formation fluids. A device for protecting and attaching a cable to pipes contains a housing with a slot for a cable, along the edges of the side walls of the housing there are clamps, one end of which is hinged on the first side wall of the housing, the other end of the clamps is hingedly connected to the corresponding lock, while the locks contain connecting loops with projections, and the clamps are made with grooves and a stop projection corresponding to the projections, the other end of the locks contains projections to create a rigid connection with the second edge of the side wall of the body when the lock and body are pulled together.
Transmission line for wired pipe
The transmission line for wired pipe applications includes an inner conductor, an insulating material surrounding the inner conductor, the insulating material having an initial outer diameter, and a wire channel surrounding the insulating material and the inner conductor for at least a portion of a length of the transmission line. The wire channel is formed from at least two profiles forced together to compress the insulating material such that it has a final outer diameter that is less than the initial outer diameter.
System for guiding a tubular during subterranean drilling operations
A method of conducting subterranean drilling operations comprising guiding a tubular with a first guide arranged in a first configuration; coupling an umbilical line to the tubular with an engagement element; guiding the tubular with a second guide; arranging the first guide to a second configuration to permit longitudinal passage of the engagement element past the first guide; and arranging the first guide to the first configuration after the engagement element is past the first guide. A system for conducting subterranean operations comprising a first guide and a second guide disposed at different vertical elevations, wherein the first and second guides are adapted to provide continuous support to a tubular in a lateral direction when the tubular is coupled with an umbilical line.
CABLE CLAMP
A cable clamp, modified tubular, and method for securing a cable to a tubular. The cable clamp includes a first base that is configured to be attached to the tubular by a bonding material, and a cover that is configured to be placed on the first base. At least one of the first base or the cover defines a groove extending therein, for receiving a cable through the cable clamp.
Downhole Clamp and Methods of Using Same
One or more specific embodiments disclosed herein includes a clamp for use with downhole equipment, comprising a clamp top, which comprises a first hinged side and a first adjustable side; a clamp bottom, which comprises a second hinged side and a second adjustable side, wherein the first hinged side and the second hinged side are connected to form a clamp hinge, and further wherein the first adjustable side and the second adjustable side are adjacent to each other; a clip attached to the outer diameter of the clamp top, wherein the clip and the clamp top form a clip hinge on the outer diameter of the clamp top; and one or more rub bars attached to the outer diameter of the clamp top.
WELL PUMP WIRE CLAMP
well pump wire clamp specifically designed to mount well pump wire cable to drop pipe located in the well casing. The well pump wire clamp generally comprises a first clamping member and a second clamping member configured for interlocking around the outer surface of the drop pipe keeping the wire cable safe from breakage. The first clamp member includes a U-shaped groove wide enough for engaging the wire cable and the tongue teeth located on the tapered tongue when inserted into the head will then engage the ratchet arm. The inner circumferential clamp surface is slightly modified by including a wire pipe rib to the first clamp member and a pipe rib to the second clamp member formed longitudinally along the inner circumferential clamp surface. When the well pump wire clamp is in a clamped position, the inner circumferential clamp surface and both pipe rib in engage and prevent the separation or disengaging of the well pump wire clamp from any skewing action. The second clamp member is similar to the first clamp member wherein both members include an outer guard for the preventing excessive or abnormal drop pipe torqueing or twisting when the pump starts and stops.
