PRESSURE-DAMPENING CASING TO REDUCE STRESS LOAD ON CEMENT SHEATH

A casing may have a tubular body formed by a wall extending axially from a first end to a second end, the tubular body having a bore therein throughout. The wall may radially extend from an inner surface of the tubular body to an outer surface of the tubular body. The wall may include a base layer and one or more secondary layers attached to the base layer. The one or more secondary layers may be a rubber or smart foam.

An over element line protector comprising of a body having a first major surface including a first curvature of a first radius and a second major surface including a second curvature having a second smaller radius, the second radius being smaller than the first radius, the body having a longitudinal extent and a central region aligned with and along the longitudinal extent having a first thickness and wing regions on both lateral sides of the central region of a second smaller thickness; a passageway located in the central region extending along the longitudinal extent of the body configured to protect a line therein.

Method to attain full annular coverage during cementing or mud circulation

Methods and systems are directed to the uniform distribution of a fluid through an annulus between a pipe and a wellbore wall, primarily when there is a preferential flow in one side of the annulus relative to another side of the annulus. Generally, the methods and systems involve introducing a first agent into the annulus, wherein the first agent is configured to cause swelling of a cladding on the exterior of the section of the pipe. The swelling reduces flow in the annulus on the side of the pipe with preferential flow so as to reduce the preferential flow on that side of the pipe.

CENTRALIZER WITH OPPOSING HOLLOW SPRING STRUCTURE
20230392453 · 2023-12-07 ·

A centralizer for a downhole probe disposed within a pipe, the centralizer having an elongated, primary tubular member that is polygonal in cross-section such that the wall of the tubular primary tubular member is formed with at least three sides. Each side has two adjacent inwardly extending ridges positioned between two outwardly extending ridges. The inwardly extending ridges each extend inward to an inner diameter to engage the outer diameter of a sonde and the outwardly extending ridges each extend outward to an outer diameter to engage the inner diameter of a pipe.

CENTRALIZER WITH ELONGATED RODS

A centralizer for a downhole probe disposed within a pipe, the centralizer having a two spaced apart primary tubular members, each with three or more centralizer strip assemblies spaced circumferentially about the wall of the primary tubular member to form seats at each end of each strip assembly. Each seat is disposed to engage a connecting rod assembly extending between the two spaced apart primary members. Each connecting rod assembly has an inner portion and an outer portion, wherein the inner portions of the connecting rod assemblies engage the outer diameter of a probe and the outer portions of the connecting rod assemblies engage the inner diameter of a pipe.

DIRECTIONAL DRILL SECURING DEVICE AND METHOD

A directional drill securing device and associated methods are shown. Securing devices and methods shown include a plurality of staking devices on a single lateral side of a directional drill. Using examples shown, a lower force is required to drive multiple staking devices than would be needed for a larger staking device of equivalent area.

CENTRALIZER

A simple centralizer, comprising a mandrel extending between box couplings, a rotor receiving surface between the box couplings, a shoulder on the mandrel defining a first end of the rotor receiving surface; and a collar receiving surface on a second end of the rotor receiving surface. The collar receiving surface may be unthreaded. In use, a collar is press fit on to the collar receiving surface.

Clamp having a core layer of rigid polyurethane

A creep resistant material comprises a core layer (12) of rigid polyurethane with a first tensile reinforcement layer (17) applied on one surface and a second tensile reinforcement layer (17) applied on the other opposed surface of the core layer, the entire respective first and second tensile reinforcement layers being in contact with the first and second surface of the core layer of the material.

Wear sleeve

A wearable sleeve to protect a sensor coupled to an object. The wearable sleeve having an axial axis, a longitudinal axis substantially perpendicular to the axial axis, a first wearable sleeve end and a second wearable sleeve end opposite the first wearable sleeve end. A first ring coupled to the first end of the first wearable sleeve end and a second ring coupled to the second wearable sleeve end. The first ring and the second ring have the same expansion properties as the object.
