ELEVATOR SYSTEM FOR SUPPORTING A TUBULAR MEMBER
An elevator system that supports a tubular member includes an elevator movable between a first elevator position and a second elevator position. A mechanical signal mechanism is coupled to the elevator. A valve is coupled to the mechanical signal mechanism. The mechanical signal mechanism is configured to transmit a mechanical signal by a mechanical control cable to move the valve into a valve position to send a valve signal that the elevator is in the second elevator position.

QUICK BAIL SYSTEM
Apparatus and methods for extending rig bails, of which the method includes bringing a rig bail towards a connector end of a quick bail system such that an eyelet of the rig bail makes contact with a latch pin of the quick bail system so that the latch pin is moved to an open position, moving the eyelet of the rig bail to enter the connector end of the quick bail system and aligning the rig bail with the quick bail system, lowering the rig bails until the eyelet of the rig bail is fully entered into the connector end of the quick bail system, and returning the latch pin to a closed position.

SUPPORT WITH LIMITING COLLAR FOR CASING STRING, FOR LOCKING BY ABUTMENT ABOVE THE MANDREL OF THE DRILLING EQUIPMENT
To lock the coating column to the probing equipment chuck. The equipment consists of a support (1) used between the probing equipment hoist and the coating tube column (for gas/oil shaft cementing). Prior to its threaded nozzle (5), the support (1) gets a collar (6) with a diameter bigger that the probing equipment chuck (M) opening radius. When the chuck cylindrical bracket (M) is opened, for inserting or removing the coating column (R) along with the drilling shaft (PO), in case of probing hoist cable (CA) breakage, as an example, the sudden lowering of a coating column inside the shaft (PO) is prevented by the collar (6) locking over the chuck (M) open cylindrical support in a stopper system. This way, expensive and time-consuming procedures for recovering coating columns (R) from the gas/oil probe drilling shaft (PO) bottom are avoided.
Measuring Hookload
An apparatus includes a first cable clamp and a first apparatus section coupled to the first cable clamp. The apparatus includes a second cable clamp and a second apparatus section coupled to the second cable clamp. The second apparatus section is slidably coupled to the second apparatus section. The apparatus includes a first measuring device portion coupled to the first apparatus section, a second measuring device portion coupled to the second apparatus section, wherein the first measuring device portion and the second measuring device portion are in at least one of mechanical, optical, and electromagnetic communication.

TOOL IDENTIFICATION
A modular top drive system for construction of a wellbore includes an identification reader for automatically identifying tools during operation for rig up and tool exchange. The identification reader may be disposed in one of a tool storage unit, a tool change unit or a top drive unit. Drilling tools, cementing tools and casing tools with one or more identification devices may be used with the modular top drive system. The one or more identification devices may be radio frequency identification devices, barcodes, text tags, micro-controllers, or combinations thereof.
Hoisting systems with heave compensation
Various hoisting systems with heave compensation are provided. In one embodiment, an apparatus includes a hoisting system having a crown block and a drawworks. The drawworks includes a rotatable drum for reeling in and reeling out a hoisting line that is wound on the rotatable drum and reeved over the crown block. The hoisting system includes active heave control at the drawworks and a passive heave compensation system. Additional systems, devices, and methods are also disclosed.
Dual-packer injection leaching system and method
A dual packer injection leaching system with a dual packer assembly and a support structure. The dual packer assembly has an upper packer, a lower packer, and a high dispersion screen disposed between the upper packer and the lower packer. The dual packer assembly is configured to be disposed within a borehole in a leach pile. The support structure is configured to support the dual packer assembly within the borehole. A wire rope couples the support structure to the dual packer assembly. A pneumatic line is configured to inflate the upper packer and the lower packer, and an injection line is configured to provide leachate solution through the high dispersion screen. The dual packer assembly is configured to deliver the leachate solution through the high dispersion screen to an interval of the borehole bounded by the upper packer and the lower packer.
