Flapper on frac plug that allows pumping down a new plug

A zonal isolation device conveyed into the wellbore with a propped flapper valve. The zonal isolation device comprises a deformable sealing element and a support ring movably disposed within the inner bore of the sealing element. A flapper valve coupled to the support ring is configured to engage a sealing surface of support ring. The flapper valve blocks fluid flow through the zonal isolation device in a fully closed position, allows unrestricted fluid flow through the zonal isolation device in a fully open position, and allows restricted fluid flow through the zonal isolation device when held by a propping component in an intermediate or partially open position. The zonal isolation device is anchored to the wellbore by an anchoring assembly engaged with a wedge coupled to the downhole end of the sealing element.

Hydraulic drain for oilfield service

A hydraulically actuated tubing drain for service with oil wells, water wells, gas wells and/or thermal wells has a configuration of structural features which, upon hydraulically opening the drain, prevent any debris from the rupture disk from entering either the tubing or the tubing-casing annulus. The disk housing and flow diffuser of the present invention mate directly together, capturing between the disk housing and flow diffuser a shoulder of the mandrel. This design eliminates the need for a threaded aperture through the side wall of the mandrel and the need for elastomeric seals.

Multi-pressure toe valve

A toe valve having an outer tubular member, including at least one outer flow port, and an inner tubular member positioned at least partially within the outer tubular member and including a central flow passage. An indexing mechanism is positioned within the outer tubular member and there is a flow path allowing fluid pressure from the central passage to act against a first side of the indexing mechanism. A biasing device acts on a second side of the indexing mechanism and the indexing mechanism is configured to allow communication between the central flow passage and the outer flow port after the indexing mechanism is subject to a plurality of pressure cycles within the central flow passage.

BREAKABLE BALL FOR WELLBORE OPERATIONS

A system for use in a wellbore that penetrates a subterranean formation, the system comprising: a wellbore; and a ball, wherein the ball performs one or more wellbore operations, and wherein the ball breaks apart into two or more pieces when a pressure is applied to the ball. A method of performing an operation in a wellbore, the method comprising: introducing a ball into the wellbore; causing or allowing the ball to perform at least one wellbore operation; and causing the ball to break into two or more pieces after performing the at least one wellbore operation. The ball can also perform more than one wellbore operation. The ball can also contain a core.

DEBRIS CONTROL SYSTEMS, APPARATUS, AND METHODS

A debris control system comprises a first ported sub and a second ported sub attached to a casing and disposed in a wellbore, such that the first ported sub is disposed at a depth that is deeper than the depth at which the second ported sub is disposed. The first ported sub is to move debris from the wellbore when it is actuated and a first fluid is pumped through it. The second ported sub is to enable conducting a diagnostic fracture injection test (DFIT) when a second fluid is pumped through it. Additional apparatus, methods, and systems are disclosed.

PROPPANT FLOW BACK RESTRICTION SYSTEMS, METHODS TO REDUCE PROPPANT FLOW BACK, AND METHODS TO DEPLOY A SCREEN OVER A PORT

Proppant flow back restriction systems, methods to reduce proppant flow back, and methods to deploy a screen over a port are disclosed. A proppant flow back restriction system includes a tubular extending through a wellbore and having a port disposed along the tubular. The system also includes a screen positioned along the tubular. The system further includes a cover disposed in an interior region of the tubular, where the cover is shiftable from a first position to a second position, and from the second position to a third position. The cover covers the port while the cover is in the first position, and uncovers the port while the cover is in the second position. The cover also engages the screen while shifting from the second position to the third position to shift the screen over the port.

DEGRADABLE MATERIAL TIME DELAY SYSTEM AND METHOD

A time delay tool and method in a wellbore casing is disclosed. The tool/method includes a mechanical restraining element, a reservoir for containing a reactive fluid, an actuating device and a wellbore device. When a stored energy is applied on the wellbore device, the actuation device is actuated and enables the reactive fluid in the reservoir to come in contact with the mechanical restraining element. While the mechanical restraining element undergoes a change in shape due to a chemical reaction, a stored energy applied on the wellbore device is delayed by a pre-determined time delay. The amount of the pre-determined time delay is determined by factors that include the reactive fluids, concentration of the reactive fluids, geometry and size of the mechanical restraining element.

DEGRADABLE MATERIAL TIME DELAY SYSTEM AND METHOD
20170247996 · 2017-08-31 · ·

A detonating restriction plug element and method in a wellbore casing. The element includes a hollow passage in the restriction plug element that receives a detonating assembly coupled to a mechanical restraining element, and a space for containing a reactive fluid. The mechanical restraining element undergoes a change in shape for a pre-determined time delay due to a chemical reaction when the reactive fluid in the space such as wellbore fluids comes in contact with the restraining element. A firing pin in the detonating assembly is released when the restraining elements changes shape and releases the restraint on the firing pin. The firing pin contacts a detonator in the detonating assembly and causes a detonating event such that the restriction plug element fragments.
