Morphable apparatus

Apparatus and method for securing and sealing a tubular portion to another tubular to provide a liner hanger in oil and gas wells. At the top of the liner string, a sleeve is arranged on the liner to create a chamber therebetween. A port provides fluid access through the liner to the chamber. When fluid is introduced into the chamber the sleeve is morphed to secure it to the cemented casing. A lower fluid pressure is required to morph the sleeve than if the liner itself was to be morphed. Embodiments are provided for securing and sealing arrangements to increase the metal to metal seal and the load capability between the liner string and casing.

Fluid pulse generation in subterranean wells

A fluid pulse generator can include a fluid motor and a bypass flow path in fluid communication with an inlet and an outlet, and a flow control device configured to permit flow through the bypass flow path in response to a predetermined pressure differential applied across the flow control device. A method of generating fluid pulses can include flowing a fluid through a fluid pulse generator, thereby generating fluid pulses, and then applying a predetermined pressure differential from an inlet to an outlet of the fluid pulse generator, thereby permitting flow of the fluid through the fluid pulse generator without generating the fluid pulses. A fluid pulse generation system can include a fluid pulse generator with a fluid motor, a variable flow restrictor, and a bypass flow path. A predetermined pressure differential applied across the fluid motor permits the flow of the fluid through the bypass flow path.

A mill including a housing having a fluid bypass pathway, a milling feature at a longitudinal end of the housing, a chamber defined by the housing, and a piston disposed in communication with the chamber, the piston defining a fluid passageway initially aligned with the fluid bypass pathway, the piston responsive to pump pressure to move toward the milling feature, the movement misaligning the fluid passageway with the fluid bypass pathway.

Downhole ceramic disk rupture by jetting with fluids and solids

Methods and systems are provided removing the functionality of a ceramic disk installed in a wellbore during oil and gas well completion and production activities. More specifically, the disclosure relates to rupturing a ceramic disk with a jet of fluids. The jetting fluid is directed towards the disk with a jetting device lowered into the wellbore. The jetting fluid comprising a fluid with entrained solids.

RUPTURE DISK, METHOD AND SYSTEM

A rupture disk including a body having an inside surface defining a hollow therein, a fluid port disposed to make fluid connection between the hollow and a fluid pressure source.

DEGRADABLE DOWNHOLE DISK

Methods and systems are provided for breaching a disk installed in a wellbore during oil and gas well completion and production activities. More specifically, the disclosure relates to installing and breaching a degradable disk installed in a wellbore. The degradable disk can maintain pressure within the wellbore during a wellbore procedure, such as packer installation. The degradable disk contains a nanocomposite material. The nanocomposite material includes a polymer binder and cellulose nano-fibers.

A DEVICE COMPRISING A DISSOLVABLE MATERIAL FOR USE IN A WELLBORE

Chemical injection system for completed wellbores

A resource exploration and recovery system includes a first system and a second system extending into a wellbore. The second system includes a completion having a casing defining a wellbore internal diameter. A chemical injection tubing extends from the first system into the completion. The chemical injection tubing includes a terminal end portion. A chemical introduction system is arranged at the first system and is fluidically connected to the chemical injection tubing. The chemical introduction system is operable to deliver a chemical into the chemical injection tubing. A chemical injector assembly is mounted to the terminal end portion. The chemical injection system includes an anchor and a chemical injector valve.

Manifold for hydraulic fracturing blender and other applications

A modular fluid-carrying manifold apparatus is provided for use in hydraulic fracturing blenders and other devices. A manifold can include one or more interchangeable sections. Each section may have a flat front face with ports cut into the front face. Components such as valves and hammer unions are directly removably connected to the ports via bolts. This eliminates the need for welded-on piping. Removable, wear-resistant inserts can be located in the ports. The removable components may be considered consumable and replaced when worn out.
