LINER DEPLOYMENT TOOL
A gravel pack system includes a liner assembly and a deployment assembly. The liner assembly includes a sand control screen. The deployment assembly facilitates rotation of the liner assembly and circulation through the liner assembly while running the liner assembly into a wellbore using a work string. The deployment assembly includes a crossover tool that is operated to facilitate gravel packing without manipulation of the work string. The deployment assembly also includes a setting tool for setting a packer and/or a sand barrier at the top of the liner assembly.

Electrical isolation in transferring power and data signals between completion systems in a downhole environment
A first completion system with electrical isolation, electronics, and a first side of a coupler is installed in a borehole drilled in a geological formation. A second completion system is installed in the borehole after installation of the first completion system. The second completion system has a second side of the coupler aligned with the first side of the coupler and an umbilical which carries power from a surface of the geological formation to the second side of the coupler. Power is sent from the second side of the coupler to the first side of the coupler, from the first side of the coupler to a first side of the electrical isolation, and from the first side of the electrical isolation to a second side of the electrical isolation via an isolation barrier. The power at the second side of the electrical isolation is provided to the electronics.
Flexible liner system and method for detecting flowing fractures in media
A method and system using the measured adsorption of a tracer substance leached from a flexible liner sealing a subterranean borehole to indicate the flow of fluid, typically water, past the borehole. The liner is provided with contaminant collectors. The liner is impregnated in its fabrication with a tracer substance. The tracer is leached from the liner as water flows past the liner in/from fractures in the surrounding geologic formation. The water containing any leached tracer may also flow past the collectors. The collectors adsorb the tracer relative to the amount of tracer leached from the liner and into the passing water, and the concentration of tracer in the flowing water is proportional to the amount of toluene leached from the liner. The tracer level in a collector is tested as an indication of the flow past the liner.

METAL-MATRIX DOWNHOLE SAND SCREENS
A screen assembly for wellbore production wherein a base pipe is wrapped with a screen constructed one or more cables formed from a plurality of non-metallic fibers bonded to one another with a metal binder. The non-metallic fibers may be basalt fibers or another ceramic material. The metal binder forms a metal matrix that has a first diameter about a primary cable axis, with the metal matrix securing the non-metallic fibers so that they have a second diameter about the primary cable axis, where the second diameter is larger than the first diameter, minimizing exposure of the metal matrix to wellbore fluids.
In situ expandable tubulars
Expandable tube members that are fabricated from a composite material that includes a structural plastic, which structural plastic includes phase change materials that undergo a permanent expansion upon exposure to wellbore conditions. This permanent expansion of the structural plastic causes the expandable tube member to expand radially and/or longitudinally without the use of an expansion tool. The expandable tube member can be used to control fluid loss, patch wells, stabilize a formation in a wellbore, enhance flow, provide sand screening, and repair damaged pipes, casings, or liners.
