Method and process for extracting shale oil and gas by fracturing and chemical retorting in oil shale in-situ horizontal well
Disclosed is a method for extracting shale oil and gas by fracturing, and chemical retorting in oil shale in-situ horizontal well and a process for implementing the method. In the method and process, an inclined well is drilled from the ground to the upper part of an underground oil shale stratum, and a horizontal well is drilled in parallel to the oil shale stratum in the upper part of the oil shale stratum. Behind the horizontal well and the inclined well in the upper part, an inclined well leading to the lower part of the oil shale stratum is drilled, and a horizontal well is drilled in parallel to the lower part of the oil shale stratum. Highly pressurized media are injected into the horizontal well in the upper part of the oil shale stratum.

Methods and devices for one trip plugging and perforating of oil and gas wells
A tubing conveyed tool for use in perforating a well bore utilizing abrasive perforating techniques. The perforating tool is particularly useful in non-vertical wells. The perforating tool is designed to permit running and setting a bridge plug, and then perforating the well bore without requiring the removal of the tool string. An eccentric weight bar can also be used to allow for directional perforating in non-vertical wells. The eccentric weight bar uses gravity to cause the bar to rotate to a predetermined position.

Tools and methods for use in completion of a wellbore
A ported tubular is provided for use in casing a wellbore, to permit selective access to the adjacent formation during completion operations. A system and method for completing a wellbore using the ported tubular are also provided. Ports within the wellbore casing may be opened, isolated, or otherwise accessed to deliver treatment to the formation through the ports.

Plugging device deployment in subterranean wells
A method of releasing plugging devices into a wellbore can include conveying a dispensing tool to a desired downhole location in the wellbore, the dispensing tool including a container, and then releasing the plugging devices from the container into the wellbore at the downhole location. A plugging device dispensing system for use with a subterranean well can include a dispensing tool having a container configured for containing multiple plugging devices, and an actuator operable to release the plugging devices from the container at a downhole location in the well.

WELL INJECTION AND PRODUCTION METHODS, APPARATUS AND SYSTEMS
A method and system for enhancing petroleum production are provided, in which a fracturing operation can be conducted in a formation through a string and then petroleum is displaced from the fractured formation by selectively injecting fluid into selected fractures in the formation while other non-selected fractures remain without fluid injection. The injected fluid flows out into the fractured formation and enhances recovery from the non-selected fractures. Petroleum is selectively collected from the non-selected fractures.
DOWNHOLE TOOL WITH FUEL SYSTEM
A tool (1) for manipulating a material, includes a body (4) defining a chamber (6). At least one source (8) of a pressurised fuel and oxidant mixture (9) or of a monopropellant is in communication with a chamber via an injector device. At least one mechanism (18) for igniting the fuel and oxidant mixture or for initiating decomposition of the monopropellant is provided. Upon ignition of the fuel and oxidant mixture or initiation of the decomposition of the monopropellant, a combustion jet (20) or a decomposition product jet is formed in the chamber which, in use, flows out through a nozzle outlet (28) towards, and into engagement with, a material to be manipulated. Methods of using the tool (1) and fuel and oxidant compositions suitable for use in the tool are also described.
