The present disclosure describes a method for surveillance of a horizontal well, including: monitoring a first set of measurement data from a pulsed neutron tool and a second set of measurement data from an array tool, wherein: the first set of measurement data indicate a holdup of the second liquid globally inside the horizontal well, and the second set of measurement data show a plurality of velocities measured at a set of corresponding locations inside the horizontal well; and interpolating the first set of measurement data to identify an interface between the first liquid and the second liquid; establish an estimated holdup of the second liquid in the cross-section of the horizontal well; and combining the estimated holdup of the second liquid with velocities measured at locations inside the horizontal well that correspond to the second layer to generate a flow weighted estimate of the second liquid inside the horizontal well.

DRILLING DATA CORRECTION WITH MACHINE LEARNING AND RULES-BASED PREDICTIONS

A drilling data correction system corrects drilling data entries in high-importance drilling data segments using machine learning and rules-based drilling models. A data importance analyzer identifies high-importance data segments in incoming drilling data. The drilling data correction system inputs features of drilling data into machine learning drilling models and rules-based drilling models trained to predict the high-importance data segments. Predictions from the machine learning drilling models and rules-based drilling models are presented to a user based on drilling data prediction criteria. The machine learning drilling data predictions are used to automatically correct the high-importance data segments, or the user chooses between machine learning drilling data predictions and rules-based drilling data predictions to correct the high-importance drilling data segment.

An ultrasonic flow check system for wellbores includes an ultrasonic transceiver installed within an inner surface of a bell nipple attached to a well head of a wellbore at a surface. The bell nipple receives wellbore fluid from a flow line attached to a side surface of the bell nipple. An alarm is installed on a rotary table installed above the bell nipple such that the bell nipple is between the rotary table and the well head. A ultrasonic signal is caused to be transmitted, by the ultrasonic transceiver, into the bell nipple. The ultrasonic signal is reflected by the wellbore fluid within the bell nipple resulting in an ultrasonic response signal. The ultrasonic response signal is caused to be received by the ultrasonic transceiver. Based on the ultrasonic response signal, it is determined whether the fluid level within the bell nipple is static or mobile.
