Method and System for Mining

A method for mining narrow vein deposit of ore, the narrow vein deposit having a hanging wall and a foot wall, the method comprising: drilling a pilot hole into the narrow vein deposit along a path substantially centrally between the hanging wall and the foot wall to a depth within the vein; following the pilot hole with a larger diameter drilling assembly to fragment the ore into drill cuttings; circulating the drill cuttings to a wellhead; and collecting the drill cuttings for processing to recover the ore therefrom.

DISC CUTTER FOR UNDERCUTTING APPARATUS AND A METHOD OF MANUFACTURE THEREOF

A disc cutter for a cutting unit used in an undercutting operation and a method of producing the same. The disc cutter including an annular disc body made of a metal alloy or metal matrix composite having a first side, a second side arranged substantially opposite to the first side and a radially peripheral part. At least one metal alloy, metal matrix composite or cemented carbide cutting part is mounted in and substantially encircling the radially peripheral part of the disc body which protrudes outwardly therefrom to engage with the rock during the mining operation. The at least one cutting part is made from a material having a higher wear resistance than the material used for the disc body, wherein the disc body and the cutting part are joined by diffusion bonds.

Gravel excavation system

A system and method are described for excavation of gravel from a gravel formation including an elongated cylindrical casing surrounding and supporting a rotating auger extending a chosen distance beyond an open end of the casing, and having openings through its upper surface for permitting gravel to enter the casing in addition to entering through the open end thereof, a source of vibration for vibrating the casing, a conveyor for removing material excavated by the system through an opening in the bottom surface of the casing, and a tracked excavator or other suitable vehicle for preventing the casing from rotating and for pushing the casing in a chosen horizontal direction into the gravel formation.

Six-Arm Tunneling and Anchoring Machine for Integrating Tunneling and Anchoring

Some embodiments of the present disclosure provide a six-arm tunneling and anchoring machine for integrating tunneling and anchoring, which includes: a tunneling machine and a roof-bolter connected with each other. The roof-bolter includes roof bolt units, a side bolt unit, and a working platform unit. The tunneling machine includes a frame body, a walking part, a cutting partes, a revolving body, a rear support body, a loading mechanism, a conveyor, an electronic control system, a hydraulic system, a spraying system and a cooling system. There are two sets roof bolt units, which are symmetrically arranged on the left and right sides of the frame body, and are located behind a revolving center of the revolving body. Each roof bolt unit is provided with two top anchor bolts.

Heading machine with cusp cutter

A heading machine includes first and second rotating cutting heads each having an axis of rotation extending substantially in a longitudinal direction of the machine, a first cutting roller having an axis of rotation extending substantially horizontal and transverse to the longitudinal direction of the machine, and a further cutting device supported on the cutting frame and arranged to cut off the cusps of unmined material left on side wall. The machine further includes a side stabilizer, and can cut a rectangular profile without leaving cusps left on the side wall.
