The invention relates to a protective element (20) for connecting to a concrete element (10) of a tunnel lining, to the concrete element (10) and to the method for producing the concrete element (10). It is an object of the invention to provide a protective element (20) for a tunnel lining, or the associated concrete element, which ensures that the protective casing of the tunnel lining is better safeguarded against corrosive gases or liquids. The solution of the invention provides that the protective element (20) is produced from an injection-moldable plastics material, that a protective portion (21, 22, 23) is connected in a single piece to a seal (30), wherein the connection is gas-tight and liquid-tight, that the protective portion (21, 22, 23) is connected in a single piece to a connecting element (24, 25, 26, 27, 28), and that the single-piece connection is produced by injection molding of the plastics material.

FIRE RESISTANT TUNNEL EXPANSION JOINT SYSTEMS

A fire resistant tunnel expansion joint system for installation between substrates of a tunnel. The system includes a fire protection barrier applied at a predetermined thickness to the substrates and a fire resistant tunnel expansion joint. The tunnel expansion joint includes a core and a fire retardant infused into the core. The core is configured to define a profile to facilitate the compression of the tunnel expansion joint when installed between the substrates. The fire protection barrier and the fire resistant tunnel expansion joint are each capable of withstanding exposure to a temperature of at least about 540 C. or greater for about five minutes.

Method for Producing a Construction Element, in Particular a Tunnel Element, Having a Watertight Seal
20170175527 · 2017-06-22 ·

Method for producing a construction element, in particular a tunnel element, from a curing material, such as concrete, in a mould, said construction element being provided with a watertight seal on at least one side thereof, wherein a gasket is used comprising a deforming body which is produced from a yielding material, such as rubber. According to the invention a base is produced from a relatively strong material, which base may or may not be detachable from the deforming body. Said base with or without said deforming body is placed against an inner side of the mould, said curing material is cast in the mould, and said curing material is cured to form said construction element with said watertight seal.

Precompressed water and/or fire resistant tunnel expansion joint systems, and transitions

A fire and/or water resistant expansion joint system for installation between substrates of a tunnel. The system includes a coating applied at a predetermined thickness to the substrates and a fire and water resistant expansion joint. The expansion joint includes a core and a fire retardant infused into the core. The core is configured to define a profile to facilitate the compression of the expansion joint system when installed between the substrates. The coating and the fire and water resistant expansion joint are each capable of withstanding exposure to a temperature of at least about 540 C. or greater for about five minutes.

Tunnel segment cross gasket

A tunnel segment radial cross gasket includes a base side or face and a top side or face. A plurality of longitudinally extending spaced parallel grooves are disposed on the base side. One or more longitudinally oriented bores, which are spaced from each other, extend through the gasket. The top face of the gasket includes first and second sections, with the second section being tapered or angled in relation to the first section.

Sealing profile for concrete tubbing
12281574 · 2025-04-22 · ·

A sealing profile for embedding in a moulded part made of curable material. Spalling observed in practice, which occur, in particular, at corners of tubbings in the area with an integrated seal, can be effectively prevented or at least reduced by using a sealing profile where the flanks of the profile base, which is embedded within the moulded part, e.g., concrete tubbing, merge with rounded portions or chamfers into the profile base face. In addition, the at least one anchoring foot is located within the profile base face and thus outside the area of the rounded portions.
