CABLE BOLT
A cable bolt for anchoring, by a curable product, in a hole formed in strata, the cable bolt has a drive head that defines a face end of the cable bolt that, when the cable bolt is inserted into the hole, is to protrude from the hole; an end termination that defines a toe end of the cable bolt at the opposing end to the face end; a first coupling member, and a second coupling member that is configured to be coupled to the first coupling member. The cable bolt further has a first segment that includes the drive head and the first coupling member, and a first set of wire strands that are each secured at one end to the drive head and at the opposing end to the first coupling member; and a second segment that includes the second coupling member and the end termination, and a second set of wire strands that are each secured at one end to the second coupling member and at the opposing end are bound by, and/or secured together at, the end termination. In use, the first and second coupling members are coupled together such that tensile loads in the cable bolt are transferred through the coupled first and second coupling members.
Cable handling device for cable bolts
A cable handling device for an underground mining drill rig, wherein the cable handling device includes a first feeding assembly having a cable bending guide and a first feeding device configured to receive a cable, grip the cable and feed the cable in a first direction into the cable bending guide. The cable bending guide is configured to guide the cable along an arcuate path such that the cable exits the cable bending guide in a second direction offset a predetermined angle to the first direction.
ROCK BOLT
A rock bolt includes a tube having a leading end and a trailing end. An expander mechanism is disposed within the tube near the leading end. An elongate bar is disposed within the tube and is connected at a first end with the expander mechanism and at a second end with an anchor arrangement positioned at the trailing end of the tube. The elongate bar is arranged to actuate the expander mechanism and remain connected between the expander mechanism and the anchor arrangement while the expander mechanism is actuated. The tube has a displaceable wall section at the leading end, which has a hinge end proximal the leading end connecting the displaceable wall section to the tube. The expander mechanism can be actuated to displace the displaceable wall section to rotate about the hinge end to shift the anchor end outwardly from the tube.
A METHOD OF INSTALLING A CABLE BOLT, A SYSTEM AND COMPONENTS OF SAME
A method of installing a grouted cable bolt, a system for providing same and components which may form part of the method and/or system including a delivery assembly comprising a delivery nozzle at a distal end of the delivery assembly; a mixing chamber in fluid communication with the delivery nozzle; a first line for conveying a first component to the mixing chamber; and, a second line for conveying a second component to the mixing chamber the first line being located within the second line, and wherein the hardenable composition in liquid form is formed from mixing the first component with the second component.
ROCK BOLT INSTALLATION
A rock bolt installation for a hole formed in a rock strata includes a cable bolt and a friction bolt disposed within the hole. The cable bolt can be embedded in grout, cement or resin. The cable bolt extends further into the hole than the friction bolt. The cable bolt and the friction bolt are disposed in an overlapping relationship within the hole and are connected structurally in the overlap to each other and to the internal wall of the hole.
