Method and system for driving a mining and/or construction machine in a safe manner without the risk of collision
The present invention relates to a method for driving a mining and/or construction machine, where said machine is arranged to be controlled by an operator by means of maneuvering means, where said operator, when driving said machine, provides steering commands by means of said maneuvering means for maneuvering said machine. The method comprises, when said machine is being driven in an environment having at least a first obstacleestimating a path that, has been requested by said operator by means of said steering commands,by means of a control system determining whether said machine when moving according to said requested path will be driven within a first distance from said first obstacle, andwhen said machine, when travelling along said path, will be driven within a first distance from said first obstacle, influencing the path of said machine by means of said control system.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR MONITORING EXTRACTION HEIGHT AND VOLUME OF MATERIAL EXTRACTED FOR A MINING MACHINE
Systems and methods for monitoring extraction height and volume of material extracted for a mining machine. The method includes operating the machine using a shearing motion at a plurality of cut locations. The method includes receiving boom height data and power consumption data. The method includes determining a cut start time, based on a conveyor motor start time, and a conveyor motor stop time. The method includes determining whether a relocation has occurred. The method includes, when the relocation has occurred: determining a cut end time based on conveyor motor stop time and the relocation; and storing, in a memory, the cut start and end time, and the boom height and power consumption data. The method includes adjusting the operation of the mining machine based on the cut start and end time, and the boom height and power consumption data for at least one of the cut locations.
Arrangement
An arrangement for attaching a falling post on a base structure, the post being rotatably movable between a standing and a recumbent position. The arrangement includes a stand, wherein the post is attached pivotally to the stand by a pin. The stand includes at least one groove arranged laterally in respect to the post, and the post has at least one projection extending in a lateral direction from the post. The at least one groove is arranged with respect to the at least one projection such that when the stand is in the standing position, the at least one projection lies in the at least one groove, and thereby locks the post in the standing position. The at least one projection is attached to the post such that it may move with respect to the stand in a longitudinal direction of the post.

WEAR INDICATOR
A wear indicator is supported on a wear surface of a machine component. The wear indicator includes a first material thickness indicator having a first thickness, a second material thickness indicator positioned adjacent the first material thickness indicator and having a second thickness that is less than the first thickness, and a third material thickness indicator positioned adjacent the first material thickness indicator and the second material thickness indicator and having a third thickness that is less than the second thickness. The wear indicator is configured to visually indicate a material thickness of the wear deck via the first, second, and third material thickness indicators.
