Methods, compositions and kits for surgical repair
In some aspects, the present invention provides surgical procedures that comprise applying compositions into and/or onto tissue, including supporting tissues (e.g., ligaments, connective tissue, muscles, etc.) for pelvic organs, among other tissues. In other aspects, the present disclosure pertains to compositions that are useful for performing such procedures. In still other aspects, the present disclosure pertains to kits that are useful for performing such procedures.
Low bleed implantable prosthesis with a taper
A vascular graft having a sealing layer and a tapered length portion. The sealing layer provides the vascular graft with low bleed characteristics subsequent to a needle puncture such as with a dialysis needle or a suture needle. The sealing layer in the tapered length portion has varying wall thickness along the tapered length portion.
ANGIOGENESIS DEVICE
The present invention provides a novel angiogenesis device. The angiogenesis device comprises an angiogenic component and a polymer, and is used to induce angiogenesis at a site for implantation of a cell- or tissue-containing device. The polymer may comprise, for example, at least one or more polyvinyl alcohol resins (A) selected from a modified polyvinyl alcohol resin having an active carbonyl group (A1), a polyvinyl alcohol resin having a triad syndiotacticity of 32 to 40% (A2), and a polyvinyl alcohol resin having a degree of saponification of 97 mol % or more (A3).

DURABLE PHOTOPOLYMERIZABLE CROSS-LINKED ANTI-FOULING COATINGS
Durable, anti-fouling, crosslinked zwitterionic coatings that are grafted to the surface of a substrate through covalent bonding are disclosed. When exposed to a light source, zwitterionic monomers react with a crosslinker and with activated radicals at the surface of the substrate, simultaneously forming the crosslinked zwitterionic coating and anchoring it to the surface of the substrate. Photomasking techniques can be used to micropattern the zwitterionic coatings. The zwitterionic coatings can be applied to a variety of substrates, including medical devices and systems.
Methods of treatment comprising administering polymer particles configured for intravascular delivery of pharmaceutical agents
Described herein are polymeric particles configured for intravascular delivery of pharmaceutical agents, e.g., to a diseased site, and methods of forming and using same. Preparation of these polymer particles is also described.
Soluble needle for hair transplantation and manufacture method thereof
A soluble needle (100) for hair transplantation, wherein the soluble needle (100) comprises a fixing plate (30) and a plurality of micro-needles (20) made of water-soluble polymers arranged on the fixing plate (30), wherein each of said micro-needle (20) comprises a needle wall (21) to penetrate scalps and a needle cavity (22) confined by the needle wall (21) and configured for accommodating a hair follicle. A method of manufacturing a soluble needle (100) for hair transplantation, wherein the method includes: dissolving water-soluble polymers in water to prepare a molding solution (S101); delivering the molding solution into a mold (S102); letting the molding solution settle in the mold to shape (S103); and separating and removing the mold to produce the soluble needle (S104). The soluble needle (100) effectively shortens the time of surgery, reduces the pain of the patients, and increases the viability rate of transplanted hair follicles.
