COVER ASSEMBLY FOR STRUCTURAL MEMBERS
An expansion joint system for bridging an expansion joint gap between two spaced-apart, underlying building or roadway structures. The expansion joint system includes a cover plate, at least one swing arm, sliding bearings engaged with the swing arms, and fasteners for engaging the swing arms to the cover plate. The swing arms include a receiving well configured for receiving a mechanical fastener to fasten the swing arms to the cover plate. The expansion joint system permits movement in response to a seismic or thermal event that causes expansion or contraction of the gap between structural members while maintaining coverage of the gap, and following a seismic or thermal event, the maintains a substantially-centered position of the cover plate.
Easily renovated expansion joint for a concrete slab formwork system
An expansion joint (1) for a concrete slab formwork system, said joint comprising first and second longitudinal elements (2, 3), arranged side-by-side in the same horizontal plane, and intended to each form an integral part with an upper and horizontal edge of a concrete slab, the first and second longitudinal elements (2, 3) comprise arrangements (5, 6, 7) opening on their upper horizontal walls and enabling at least a portion (2a, 3a) of each of the first and second longitudinal elements (2, 3) to be withdrawn for replacement thereof. The first longitudinal element (2) comprises a stack of three layers of material (2a, 2b, 2c), with an intermediate layer (2b) having a smaller width than that of the two other layers (2a, 2c) such that the first longitudinal element (2) has a U-shaped cross-section, and the second longitudinal element (3) comprises a stack of three complementary layers of material (3a, 3b, 3c), with an intermediate layer (3b) having a larger width than that of the two other layers (3a, 3c) so as to form a transverse projection that is able to fit in the recess of the U-shape of the first longitudinal element (2).
Expansion joint seal for surface contact with offset rail
A system for creating a durable seal between adjacent panels, including those which may be subject to temperature expansion and contraction or mechanical shear having a cover plate, a rail, and an elastically-compressible core adjacent the rail.
Expansion joint seal for surface contact with offset rail
A system for creating a durable seal between adjacent panels, including those which may be subject to temperature expansion and contraction or mechanical shear having a cover plate, a rail, and an elastically-compressible core adjacent the rail.
Concrete expansion joint insert including a sealant on one edge
An illustrative example embodiment of a concrete joint insert includes a body having two ends, two longitudinal edges between the ends and two side surfaces between the longitudinal edges. A sealant is secured to one of the longitudinal edges so that the insert and the sealant can be simultaneously installed at the location of a concrete joint.
EDGE PROTECTION SYSTEM HAVING BRIDGING PINS
An edge protection system for use with concrete flooring, including a first part for coupling to an edge portion of a first concrete flooring panel and a second part for coupling to an opposed edge portion of a second, neighbouring, concrete flooring panel, wherein the protection system is provided in modular lengths, and wherein adjacent modular lengths are coupled by one or more bridging pins.
Helically-packaged expansion joint seal system with impregnated foam and overlapping low-friction casing
A foam-based expansion joint seal system packaging which facilitates transport and reduces the need for internal splices.
Helically-packaged expansion joint seal system with impregnated foam and overlapping low-friction casing
A foam-based expansion joint seal system packaging which facilitates transport and reduces the need for internal splices.
Expansion joint system with flexible sheeting and three layers and interior members
The present disclosure relates generally to systems for providing a durable water-resistant and fire-resistant foam-based seal in the joint between adjacent panels. An expansion joint seal, which may be fire-resistant and/or water-resistant, is provided which includes one or more body members, a fire retardant member, which may be of an intumescent member, interspersed within the body member or members, a plurality of resilient members to provide a spring recovery force and fire resistance, and a connector of at least two of the resilient members, which connect each of the resilient members to a cover plant or may connect the two resilient members to one another.
