Non-stick, asphalt-resistive tool and associated use thereof
A hand tool includes an elongated handle suitably sized and shaped for handling HMA, and an implement attached to a distal end of the elongated handle. Such an implement includes: a non-stick, asphalt-resistant top layer, and a metal core directly attached to the non-stick, asphalt-resistant top layer, and a non-stick, asphalt-resistant bottom layer directly attached to the metal core. Notably, the metal core is intercalated between the non-stick, asphalt-resistant top layer and the non-stick, asphalt-resistant bottom layer. Advantageously, each of the non-stick, asphalt-resistant top layer and the non-stick, asphalt-resistant bottom layer prohibits hot mix asphalt from adhering onto the implement.
WHEELED CONCRETE SUPPLY HOSE MOVING DEVICE
A wheeled hose moving device that is movable over a support surface and that is operable to grasp, lift and move a concrete supply hose at the support surface. The device includes a wheeled support including a hose grasping device and at least one hose support element. The hose grasping device includes a pair of grasping arms configured to grasp and release a concrete supply hose. The hose grasping device is vertically movable between a raised position and a lowered position. The hose support element includes a pair of support arms that pivot relative to one another. The pair of grasping arms move from their opened state toward their closed state to engage and grasp the concrete supply hose. As the grasping device raises the grasped hose upward, the support arms pivot from their opened state toward their closed state to support the grasped and raised hose.
DEVICE FOR SPREADING A BITUMINOUS COATING FROM A FILM OF DETERMINED WIDTH OF THE COATING, AND METHOD FOR IMPLEMENTING SAME
The device includes a unit for moving on the ground along a longitudinal direction of advance (32) and a spreading unit fed with bituminous coating by a feeding unit and adapted to spread during the displacement of the device the layer of bituminous coating over a determined width of the ground considered transversally to the direction of advance. The spreading unit is adapted to perform the rolling, the crumbling and the falling down to the ground of the bituminous coating.
PAVING SYSTEMS AND METHODS OF FORMING A PAVING SYSTEM
Outdoor paving systems and methods of installing paving systems are described herein. The paving systems have a drainage layer of drainage stones. The drainage layer has a top surface and a bottom surface. The paving systems also have a paving layer abutting the drainage layer and covering the top surface of the drainage layer. The paving layer includes a permeable material. The permeable material includes an aggregate material bonded together by an elastomeric binder. The paving layer forms a containment field surrounding a perimeter of the drainage layer to restrict movement of the drainage stones of the drainage layer outwardly towards the surrounding ground surface.
ASPHALTITE-BASED ADDUCTS AND POLYMERS, METHODS OF MAKING AND USING THE SAME, AND PRODUCTS USING THE SAME
Described herein are asphaltite-based adducts and polymers and methods of making the same. Asphaltite may be modified with a reagent such as polyphosphoric acid. The reagent may modify the asphaltite or portions or moieties thereof to possess a positive charge. The reagent may also activate the asphaltite or portions thereof to enable epoxy and/or urethane polymerization reactions within the asphaltite or portions thereof, and/or to enable cross-linking of the asphaltite-based polymers or adducts. Products incorporating asphaltite-based polymers and adducts are also described.
