Actuating resurfacing system and method
A system for re-surfacing a pavement surface includes a mobile vehicle having a first longitudinal axis and a material delivery mechanism having a second longitudinal axis. The system also includes an actuation system coupled to the mobile vehicle and to the material delivery mechanism. The actuation system is configured to actuate the material delivery mechanism with respect to the mobile vehicle such that the first longitudinal axis is oriented obliquely with respect to the second longitudinal axis.
ROAD FINISHER AND METHOD FOR DETERMINING THE LAYER THICKNESS OF A PAVING LAYER PRODUCED
The disclosure refers to a road finisher for producing a paving layer on a subgrade on which the road finisher moves along a paving direction during a paving run. In accordance with the disclosure, the road finisher is adapted to use distance measurements to a subgrade, which can be provided to a leveling system of the road finisher, equally as measured values for determining the thickness of a layer. The disclosure also refers to a respective method for determining the layer thickness.
ACTUATING RESURFACING SYSTEM AND METHOD
A system for re-surfacing a pavement surface includes a mobile vehicle having a first longitudinal axis and a material delivery mechanism having a second longitudinal axis. The system also includes an actuation system coupled to the mobile vehicle and to the material delivery mechanism. The actuation system is configured to actuate the material delivery mechanism with respect to the mobile vehicle such that the first longitudinal axis is oriented obliquely with respect to the second longitudinal axis.
LIMITING PLATE OF A ROAD PAVER
A limiting plate of a road paver is detachably attached to a traverse or to a chassis of the road paver to increase the basic working width. The limiting plate is arranged with variable spacing to a subgrade. In order to prevent a mix from flowing forwards in a direction of travel and at the same time improve the efficiency of a screw conveyor, in which a geometrically defined screw trough is formed, a limiting plate extension is arranged on the limiting plate so that it can be adjusted, particularly in the direction of the subgrade.
Adjustable paving machine
An adjustable paving machine includes a variably expandable portion. The variably expandable portion may be expandable laterally such as to accommodate paving operations of variable widths. The adjustable paving machine may be configured to spread a variety of paving materials on a paving surface, including oils, emulsions, asphalt, slurries, or the like. The adjustable paving machine may include a containment basin operative to contain a paving material such as to reduce lateral or longitudinal movement of the paving material. The adjustable paving machine may include an adjustable shoe configured to move the paving machine vertically relative to the paving surface. The adjustable paving machine may include one or more spreading elements configured to spread the paving material on the paving surface. The spreading elements may be supported by a spreading element support enabling easy replacement of the spreading elements.

The adjustable paving machine may include an adjustable shoe configured to move the paving machine vertically relative to the paving surface. The adjustable paving machine may include one or more spreading elements configured to spread the paving material on the paving surface. The spreading elements may be supported by a spreading element support enabling easy replacement of the spreading elements.
Non-stick, asphalt-resistive tool and associated use thereof
A hand tool includes an elongated handle suitably sized and shaped for handling HMA, and an implement attached to a distal end of the elongated handle. Such an implement includes: a non-stick, asphalt-resistant top layer, and a metal core directly attached to the non-stick, asphalt-resistant top layer, and a non-stick, asphalt-resistant bottom layer directly attached to the metal core. Notably, the metal core is intercalated between the non-stick, asphalt-resistant top layer and the non-stick, asphalt-resistant bottom layer. Advantageously, each of the non-stick, asphalt-resistant top layer and the non-stick, asphalt-resistant bottom layer prohibits hot mix asphalt from adhering onto the implement.

Feed material processing device and method for applying, distributing and compacting feed material in defined layer heights
A feedstock processing apparatus for applying, distributing, and compacting feedstock in defined layer heights, including a chassis with a traction drive and a first and second undercarriage. A frame structure connects the two undercarriages over a span width of the feedstock processing apparatus. A material feeding device is coupled to the frame structure. A material distributing device is coupled to the material feeding device and is displaceable in certain sections over the span width and configured to apply the feedstock in layers on soil in different, predefinable height positions between the undercarriages. A compacting device is displaceably mounted on the frame structure and/or the material distributing device. The compacting device and the material distributing device can be displaced in a manner dependent on one another respectively along a predefinable movement path.
