10400412 · 2019-09-03 ·

The impact compactor includes a damping arrangement which is connected between the first and second parts and which is configured to provide a damping function for the relative movement between the first and second parts. The damping arrangement includes an outer tubular member which defines a non-circular inner channel/passage; a non-circular inner shaft member which defines a first axis of rotation and which is positioned, at least partially, in the channel/passage defined by the outer tubular member; and at least one wedge formation which is wedged between the shaft member and the tubular member. The wedge formation is at least partially resiliently deformable and is configured to resist/oppose relative rotation between the shaft member and the tubular member about the first axis of rotation. One of the members is connected to the first part, while the other member is connected to the second part.

ROLLER ASSEMBLY FOR SMOOTHING GRANULAR MEDIA
20190254219 · 2019-08-22 ·

A roller assembly for smoothing an expanse of granular media such as golf bunker sand, snow, horse race track dirt, or other media. The assembly has one or more rollers having a longitudinal axis. Each roller includes wires spaced from the axis to define a roller surface. Each wire is resiliently flexible to distort inwardly in response to force of contact on, and to recover during release of force from, the granular media as the roller rotates about the axis on the granular media. A shaft extends along the axis of the roller assembly between the arms of a yoke with a handle extending therefrom. As the roller surface traverses the media, at least some of the media is flung outwardly of the roller, smoothing the expanse. The roller assembly may be manually operated or may be towed behind a towing apparatus.

Curb former

A curb former (10) includes a rotatable drive shaft (20), a gutter drum (80), and a curb profiling drum (100). The gutter drum (80) is secured to the drive shaft (20) such that the drive shaft (20) and gutter drum (80) rotate together. The curb profiling drum (100) is detachably secured relative to both the drive shaft (20) and the gutter drum (80). This configuration allows one curb profiling drum (100) to be replaced with another curb profiling drum (100) to change the profile of a curb resulting from a curbing operation using the curb former (10).
