DRIVE COUPLER FOR DRILL OUTPUT SHAFT

A power unit is configured for use as part of a concrete screed and includes a frame, a powered drive, and a drive coupler. The frame includes a drive housing and a handle to be grasped by a user, with the handle being configured to facilitate manual advancement of the concrete screed in the forward direction. The handle and the drive housing are pivotally attached relative to each other so that the handle is swingable relative to the drive housing about a pivot axis that is transverse to the forward direction. The powered drive is operably supported by the drive housing and includes a rotatable drive shaft. The drive coupler is attached to the drive shaft and is removably attachable to the connection shaft of a rotatable concrete forming drum so that rotation of the drive shaft is imparted to the connection shaft. The drive coupler is configured to align the drive and connection shafts on a common rotation axis without permitting off-axis swinging of the shafts relative to one another, such that swinging of the drive housing relative to the drum is at least substantially restricted.

ROLLER ASSEMBLY FOR SMOOTHING GRANULAR MEDIA
20190254219 · 2019-08-22 ·

A roller assembly for smoothing an expanse of granular media such as golf bunker sand, snow, horse race track dirt, or other media. The assembly has one or more rollers having a longitudinal axis. Each roller includes wires spaced from the axis to define a roller surface. Each wire is resiliently flexible to distort inwardly in response to force of contact on, and to recover during release of force from, the granular media as the roller rotates about the axis on the granular media. A shaft extends along the axis of the roller assembly between the arms of a yoke with a handle extending therefrom. As the roller surface traverses the media, at least some of the media is flung outwardly of the roller, smoothing the expanse. The roller assembly may be manually operated or may be towed behind a towing apparatus.

Curb former

A curb former (10) includes a rotatable drive shaft (20), a gutter drum (80), and a curb profiling drum (100). The gutter drum (80) is secured to the drive shaft (20) such that the drive shaft (20) and gutter drum (80) rotate together. The curb profiling drum (100) is detachably secured relative to both the drive shaft (20) and the gutter drum (80). This configuration allows one curb profiling drum (100) to be replaced with another curb profiling drum (100) to change the profile of a curb resulting from a curbing operation using the curb former (10).

The present invention relates to a vibration tamper, comprising a superstructure having a driving engine mounted on a machine frame and further having a guide bar, and further comprising a substructure having a compactor base driven by the driving engine and having a compactor plate and having a drive line, by means of which a drive connection between the driving engine and the compactor base is established such that the compactor base can move relatively to the superstructure along a compactor axis while executing at least one compacting amplitude. The driving engine of the vibration tamper is a liquid gas powered driving engine, wherein the superstructure and, more particularly, the guide bar on the superstructure, comprises a storage container for liquid gas, and wherein a gas supply line is provided to supply evaporated liquid gas to the driving engine.

Modular concrete screed system

A concrete screed assembly broadly includes a plurality of elongated drum sections. The drum sections are interchangeably interconnectable in an end-to-end relationship to cooperatively form a rotatable concrete screed drum that is selectively variable depending on the drum sections interconnected to form the drum. The drum sections each present a concrete-forming outer surface configured to engage concrete as the drum is rotated. The drum sections each include opposite connection ends.
