Modular concrete screed system

A concrete screed assembly broadly includes a plurality of elongated drum sections. The drum sections are interchangeably interconnectable in an end-to-end relationship to cooperatively form a rotatable concrete screed drum that is selectively variable depending on the drum sections interconnected to form the drum. The drum sections each present a concrete-forming outer surface configured to engage concrete as the drum is rotated. The drum sections each include opposite connection ends.

A power head for a powered concrete roller screed includes a handle and a driver housing at a distal end of the handle. A cordless, battery-operated driver is received in the driver housing. A head actuator includes a translatable link extending along the handle and an eccentric cam. The eccentric cam is operatively connected to the translatable link within the drive housing such that translation of the translation link imparts rotation of the eccentric cam about a rotational axis of the eccentric cam to an actuated position. The eccentric cam is adjacent a trigger of a cordless, battery-operated driver and is configured to depress the trigger when the eccentric cam is rotated about its rotational axis to the actuated position.

CORDLESS ELECTRICALLY-POWERED CONCRETE SCREED

A power unit is configured for use as part of a concrete screed and includes a frame and a powered drive. The frame includes a drive housing. The powered drive is operably supported by the drive housing and is configured to rotate a rotatable concrete forming drum. The powered drive includes an electric motor and a battery operably coupled to the electric motor and configured to power the electric motor. The powered drive includes a drive shaft drivingly connectable relative to the drum, with rotation of the drive shaft causing corresponding rotation of the drum.

A combined bull float-roller concrete finishing device including a bull float member and a roller member. The bull float member including a handle and a blade. The bull float member is configured to smooth an underlying surface. The roller member including a pair of rotatable attachment bars which are each connected to the blade in a perpendicular orientation at a right and left side of the blade respectively. A roller is attached between the pair of attachment bars. The roller member is configured to rotate the roller downward to a position behind a rear end of the bull float member to roll the roller over an underlying surface and is configured to rotate the roller upward to a position above the bull float member to prevent the roller from rolling over an underlying surface.

Concrete screed power control linkage

A power unit is configured for use as part of a concrete screed and includes a frame, a powered drive, and a mechanical control connection. The frame includes a drive housing and a handle to be grasped by a user, with the handle being configured to facilitate manual advancement of the concrete screed in a forward direction. The handle includes a grip and a relatively shiftable user-operated drive controller. The powered drive is operably supported by the drive housing and is configured to rotate a rotatable concrete forming drum.
