QUICK CURB BRACKET
20210095485 · 2021-04-01 ·

A concrete form bracket for holding in place concrete forms. The bracket may have horizontally extendable arms with pivotable concrete form engaging surfaces. One or more of the horizontally extending arms pivot from a central area and are independently extendable/adjustable to engage a concrete form at multiple locations.

VARIABLE HEIGHT OFFSET MOLD
20200208357 · 2020-07-02 ·

A slipform paving machine includes an offset mold, and a mold frame actuator which allows the height of the offset mold relative to the paving machine to be controlled. Internal actuators within the mold allow corresponding control of side form assemblies to control both height and profile of a resulting slipformed concrete structure.

VARIABLE HEIGHT MOLD

A slipform paving machine includes an offset mold, including a mold frame, a form insert, a form insert actuator and a form insert sensor. A controller receives a signal from an external reference sensor and controls a position of the form insert actuator to control the height of the form insert relative to the mold frame and thereby control a height of at least a portion of a molded structure relative to a ground surface at least in part in response to the signal from the external reference sensor.

Curb former

A curb former (10) includes a rotatable drive shaft (20), a gutter drum (80), and a curb profiling drum (100). The gutter drum (80) is secured to the drive shaft (20) such that the drive shaft (20) and gutter drum (80) rotate together. The curb profiling drum (100) is detachably secured relative to both the drive shaft (20) and the gutter drum (80). This configuration allows one curb profiling drum (100) to be replaced with another curb profiling drum (100) to change the profile of a curb resulting from a curbing operation using the curb former (10).

A curb/walk forming bracket has two half brackets connected to form a spacer/bracket. Each half bracket has a main body with an outer fin and an inner fin for attachment to form boards. A top bend extends from the main body and has a guide hole for placement of a stake. A lower guide hole or formed surround extends from the main body and is vertically aligned with the top guide hole. Slots or slotted holes run the length of the top bend of the main body of each half bracket with the slots or slotted holes accommodating fasteners for connecting the two half brackets so as to form an inverted U shape when placed for forming in an upright position. Holes are provided in the main body of each half bracket for fastening stakes for ground anchorage. Holes along each inner fin of each half bracket allow fastening to the form boards. The curb/walk forming bracket can be adjusted to different widths with variable widths achieved by overlapping the half components, moving them back and forth and fastening at the desired width.

Leg assembly for construction machine
12173456 · 2024-12-24 · ·

A leg assembly includes a guide tube, a power drive coupled to a flange of the guide tube, a steering ring coupled to the power drive, a tube weldment coupled to the steering ring, and a hydraulic actuator coupled within the guide tube and within the tube weldment. The power drive includes a slew drive or a hydraulic cylinder steering assembly. The tube weldment is translated through the power drive by the actuator. The steering ring includes one or more pistons by which relative rotational movements may be imparted to the tube weldment by a socketing action. The steering ring is rotated by the power drive. Thus, the guide tube may be rotated relative to the tube weldment.

Height adjustable concrete form assembly

A form assembly is provided for forming a concrete structure during setting of the concrete. Included in the form assembly are a first barrier assembly having a first inner surface and a first outer surface; a second barrier assembly having a second inner surface, a second outer surface, an upper barrier, and a lower barrier. A channel is defined by the first and second inner surfaces of the first and second barrier assemblies for pouring the concrete into the channel. The second barrier assembly includes at least one height adjustment assembly being connected at one end to the upper barrier, and at an opposite end to the lower barrier such that the upper barrier vertically reciprocates along a vertical guide of the upper barrier relative to the lower barrier for adjusting an overall height of the form assembly using the at least one height adjustment assembly.

EDGE SLUMP CONTROL
20250043523 · 2025-02-06 ·

Methods and apparatus for controlling edge slump in newly formed concrete structures formed by a slip form paving machine. An edge height sensor generates an edge height signal corresponding to a height of an edge of the newly formed concrete structure to thereby detect a slumping of the edge of the newly formed concrete structure behind a slip form paver mold. A controller receives the edge height signal, determines whether any slumping of the edge of the newly formed concrete structure exceeds a set slump limit, and automatically controls an actuator assembly at least in part in response to the edge height signal to adjust the height of a lateral edge portion of a mold bottom plate relative to an interior portion of the mold bottom plate and thereby adjust the height of the edge of the newly formed concrete structure.
