Golf course modular bunker paver blocks
09604110 · 2017-03-28 ·

A golf course bunker drainage system has been developed that is a modular structure taking the form of a plurality of porous bunker paver blocks formed of material exhibiting vertical and horizontal infiltration rates at least the same as bunker sand. The plurality of porous bunker paver blocks is disposed as a boundary layer between a bunker subsoil bottom surface and overlying bunker sand, allowing rainwater to drain into the subsoil, with excess rainwater directed away from the bunker sand. The use of bunker paver blocks also maintains the integrity of the bunker shape and prevents movement of sand and other materials along steeply sloping bunker sidewalls.

Construction panel

This application relates to a light-weight, multi-purpose construction panel. The panel may be formed, for example, from molded plastic. Each panel includes a substantially planar deck on a first side thereof and a second side comprising alternating male and female sleeves arranged in honeycomb-like compartments defined by a plurality of wall elements. A pair of panels may be releasably coupled together with their respective second sides facing inwardly to form a construction assembly. When a pair of panels is coupled together, the male sleeves of one panel matingly fit within the females sleeves of the other panel, and vice versa. The panel assemblies may be used for many different construction applications including flooring, roofing and wall structures.

The invention relates to a concrete block in the form of a planar element that can be laid in combination in order to create a paving. The concrete block has at least one multi-layer concrete block body having at least one concrete-block lower face suitable for being laid on a foundation layer of an underlying surface, and a concrete-block upper face opposite thereto. The multi-layer concrete block body has at least one first concrete-block layer disposed on the concrete-block upper face and in the form of a face concrete layer, at least one second concrete-block layer in the form of a core concrete layer, as well as a third concrete-block layer. The second concrete-block layers is disposed between the first and the third concrete-block layer. The third concrete-block layer has an increased tensile strength.

Padding layer for athletic field for water retention and drainage

Various embodiments for a panel that may be combined with other similar panels to form a padding layer of an athletic field, or other surface, are disclosed. The panel for use in a padding layer of a panel system includes at least one water accumulation region positioned at or near a perimeter of the panel. The at least one water accumulation region is defined by a pyramidal surface that slopes downwards from a center of the panel to distal edges of the panel such that the center has a height relative to a ground surface greater than the distal edges of the panel, a plurality of projections projecting from the pyramidal surface, and a ridge projecting from the pyramidal surface, the ridge extending along a perimeter of the panel, wherein the ridge has a projection height sufficient to retain water at the perimeter of the panel.
