Entrance and exit ramp safety system
A traffic safety system is provided for controlling the entry of motorists onto one way roads. The system has a motion detection unit which identifies the presence of motor vehicles travelling the wrong direction on one way roads, highway exit ramps and entrance ramps. Upon detection of a vehicle, the system activates audible and visual warnings. If the motorist does not stop moving, a barrier will deploy and a camera unit will photograph the license plate of the vehicle before transmitting same to local authorities. Additionally, a set of warming indicators positioned at a far end of the road are provided, which illuminate when the system is deployed, notifying travelers of a road blockage.
BOLLARD DRIVE FOR A BLOCKING BOLLARD, AND BLOCKING BOLLARD
A bollard drive for a blocking bollard for moving a blocking member between a blocking position and an opening position. The bollard drive includes a base element connected to a base body, a drive unit arranged on the base element, a coupling device, and an operating device. The drive unit has an electric motor, a transmission, and a drive element connected to the blocking member. The electric motor and the transmission electromechanically drive the blocking member relative to the base body via the drive element being driven by the transmission. The coupling device has first and second coupling parts and establishes a driving connection in the transmission when the first coupling part engages with the second coupling part. The first and the second coupling parts disengage via the operating device to interrupt the driving connection and to release a movement of the blocking member relative to the base body.
BLOCKING BOLLARD COMPRISING A WARNING DEVICE, AND METHOD FOR ACTUATING A BLOCKING BOLLARD
A barrier bollard includes a warning device, a light source, and a barrier body arranged on a main body to be movable via a drive over a barrier height between an open and a barrier position. The light source is arranged on a lateral surface of the barrier body over a warning height in a warning region associated with an upper side of the barrier body. The light source emits an optical warning signal in an activated state. The upper side is substantially flush with the surface of the main body in the open position. In the barrier position, the upper side is moved out from the ground to project in the barrier height over the main body. The barrier body is movable for a warning sequence in a warning position where it is partially moved out from the main body and is temporarily stationary for a warning time.
Apparatus And Method For Rapidly Deflating Tires To Disable A Land Vehicle
An apparatus and a method for disabling a ground engaging traction device of a land vehicle includes at least one penetrator configured to breach the traction device, an articulated strap configured to move the apparatus between a retracted arrangement and an extended arrangement, a mass configured to deploy the apparatus to the extended arrangement, and a retractor configured to retract the apparatus to the retracted arrangement. The penetrators can be arranged in sections and the penetrators can be arranged so as to be multi-directional within each section.
CROSSWALK SAFETY SYSTEM
A crosswalk safety system includes a sensor device that obtains information related to a speed of a vehicle approaching a crosswalk through a roadway and a separation distance between the vehicle and the crosswalk, a first warning device that issues a first warning to the vehicle, a second warning device that issues a second warning to the vehicle, a robot which is arranged to move between the vehicle and a pedestrian crossing the crosswalk when the separation distance between the vehicle and the crosswalk obtained through the sensor device is less than or equal to a third separation distance after issuing the second warning, and a controller.
Counterweight deployable vehicle barrier
A deployable vehicle barrier includes an upper structure forming a vertical passage, opposed legs extending vertically downward from the upper structure, each of the legs having a channel, a bollard disposed in the passage, parallel plates having a vertical section inside of the bollard and a horizontal section positioned outside of a bottom end of the bollard with the horizontal sections located in the channels, a first belt connector attached to and extending normal to the horizontal section, a second belt connector attached to and extending normal to the horizontal section in an opposite direction from the first belt connector, a first belt attached to the first belt connector, the upper structure via a first pulley, and a first counterweight, and a second belt attached to the second belt connector, the upper structure via a second pulley, and a second counterweight.
RETRACTABLE BOLLARD LIGHT
A retractable bollard light has a shell set and a main body. The shell set is configured to be set underground. The shell set includes an outer shell, an inner shell, and a top cover. The inner shell is in the outer shell, and the top cover is mounted on the outer shell and the inner shell. The top cover has a top opening formed through a top surface and a bottom surface. The main body has a moving assembly, a light source assembly, and a power module. The moving assembly is in the inner shell and is movable with respect to the inner shell. The light source assembly moves with the moving assembly out of the inner shell through the top opening. The power module is electrically connected to the moving assembly and the light source assembly. The retractable bollard light may be retracted when not in use.
