Fiberglass guard rail
A guardrail system for use along a roadway. The system can include a longitudinal body having one or more longitudinal void spaces formed therein, at least one substantially vertical post connected at one or both ends of the body, and a longitudinal member disposed within any one of the longitudinal void spaces of the body having a crosswise ultimate tensile strength that is at least 20% greater than the crosswise ultimate tensile strength of the longitudinal body.
Barrier System
A barrier system (100) includes first and second barrier segments (102) connected to one another such that crash energy is absorbed. The connection between the segments includes a pair of wedge-shaped connectors (202) disposed between angled faces (118) formed at the opposing ends of the segments. Elastic pads (700) are sandwiched between the respective segment faces and connectors (202).
Surrogate for metal guardrail
Surrogates for roadside objects, such as metal guardrails, can be used for vehicle testing. A surrogate for a metal guardrail can have substantially the same size and/or shape as the metal guardrail that the surrogate is mimicking. The surrogate can be configured to exhibit substantially the same characteristics as their actual counterpart metal guardrail when sensed by one or more vehicle sensors (e.g., cameras, radar sensors, and/or LIDAR sensors). Such surrogates can be used to test autonomous vehicles, one or more vehicle sensors, a vehicle sensor system, and/or one or more vehicle system (e.g., a road departure mitigation system). The surrogates can be configured to withstand being crashed into by a test vehicle without being damaged and without damaging the test vehicle.
Brace for erecting a bollard fence
A bollard panel having adjacent bollards and a gap between the adjacent bollards, a brace having a panel connector, a first longitudinal section, and a second longitudinal section, and the brace supporting the bollard panel in a vertical position relative to a ground with the brace disposed in the gap with the first longitudinal section located on a first side of the bollard panel, the second longitudinal section located on a second side of the bollard panel, and the panel connector attached to the bollard panel.
GUARDRAIL TERMINAL
Guardrail, guardrail terminal, and support post designs that improve control of a vehicle during collisions are described. The disclosed designs also reduce the likelihood of intrusion into vehicle systems and the occupant compartment(s). Embodiments include folding and/or flattening of the guardrail and controlling the folded and flattened guardrail to avoid intrusion into the vehicle. Other embodiments include containing the guardrail in an impact head of a guardrail terminal, which also avoids vehicle intrusion.
Shock absorber of road
Disclosed is a shock absorber for buffering the barrier wall of a road. According to the present invention, a horizontal inner pipe bumper is inserted into a pedestal attached to a boundary of a barrier wall and joined to the support pillar. The buffer rail transversely connected to the protruding portion of the buffer pad on the front surface of the pedestal constitutes the buffer portion of the collision portion barrier wall, and when the buffer pad adhered to the inner pipe bumper is displaced upright, tension of the elastic rail connecting the buffer pad and the elastic rail block is generated, and the guard rail of the pillar is coupled to the barrier bridging body by a connecting member.
Parking Barrier System and Post
A post assembly 10, 10.0, 10.00, 10.000, 10.0000, 110, 210, 310 for a parking lot barrier system 11, the post 12 of the post assembly 10,10.0, 10.00, 10.000, 10.0000, 110, 210, 310 being of any appropriate section and having at least one aperture 30, 32 at or near to the base 12.1 of the post 12. The at least one aperture 30, 32 is sized and shaped so as to allow the post 12 to deform elastically under collision loads at low speeds sign posted in parking lots
Barrier Construction
The present invention relates to posts, carriages, methods of manufacturing the components and their assembly into a barrier. The invention also includes a Z post attachment includes an attachment tab 8.016 and end engagement flange 8.024, 8.026 adapted to engage the end of the post. The arrangement can include a delineator 8.030 which is skew in relation to the tab 8.016, so as to provide reflector faces 8.032 which face oncoming traffic.
HELICAL PILE FOUNDATION SYSTEM
A post foundation system is provided. The system has a shaft with a helical disk attached to one end and a post support attached to the other end. The helical disk drives the shaft into the ground as a rotational force is applied to the shaft. A fin section is rotatably coupled about the shaft between its first and second ends. The fin section can have one or more fins extending outwardly from the shaft. The fin section engages the ground to stabilize the post foundation system as the shaft of the post foundation system is driven into the ground.
Deflector Bracket and Cable Anchor for Guardrail Terminal
A cable anchor deflector bracket includes a first portion and a second portion. The first portion is coupled to a guardrail at a location adjacent to a cable anchor bracket, which is an attachment point where a cable couples to the guardrail. The second portion slopes outwardly away from the guardrail and is proximate to an end of the cable anchor bracket and the end of the cable anchor assembly.
