The bag-retainer has a slot for pulling the end of the roll of bags therethrough, bag-teeth to aid in tearing a bag off from the roll, and a cleat and tray for holding a filled bag. A light-mount is configured to allow positioning of a light in any direction and a detachable rake may be alternately used to collect feces. A receptacle for personal articles and for pepper spray is provided.

A canine tethering device for walking a dog includes a leash that is coupled to an upper end of a frame. An umbrella, a flashlight, and a pouch are coupled to the frame. A sprayer that comprises capsaicin and propellent is coupled to the leash. The sprayer is configured to selectively aerosolize the capsaicin. Waste bags are sequentially extractable, through a hole that is positioned in the pouch, from a roll that is positioned in the pouch. A pair of jaws is pivotally coupled to a lower end of the frame. An actuator is coupled to the frame proximate to the upper end. The actuator is operationally coupled to the jaws. The actuator is positioned to pivot the jaws to an open configuration to insert dog waste between the jaws and to pivot the jaws to a closed configuration to collect the dog waste.

A pet refuse collection apparatus, and methods of use of the pet refuse collection apparatus, including a pet refuse bag supported by a fixture that allows the bag to be positioned underneath the pet to catch the refuse. A frame supports a refuse bag and may be manipulated with a single hand of a user while the frame supports a dispensed pet refuse bag in a position conducive to collecting pet refuse and additionally supports undispensed bags and stores a dispensed bag containing pet refuse.

The capture structure, the hinge mechanism, and the grip attach to the extension shaft. The capture structure is a mechanical structure used to collect the elimination from the companion animal. The hinge mechanism is a mechanical device that controls the operation of the capture structure. The grip is an accommodation that allows the user to manipulate the pet excrement catcher. The grip further illuminates the area around the companion animal.

An apparatus for holding a bag open at the end of a telescoping handle. The apparatus includes an elastomerically coated, illuminated ring for releasably holding a bag while collecting dog waste before it reaches the ground. Additional features include a clip or clamp to hold a full bag of dog waste to carry it away for proper disposal.

A feces retrieval assembly for collecting animal feces from the ground includes a housing that has an opening extending therethrough to define a handle for gripping the housing. A plurality of bags is stored in the housing and a grabbing unit is coupled to the housing. The grabbing unit is actuatable into an extended position to extend away from the housing and being directed toward feces on the ground. The grapping unit is actuated into the extended position for being positioned around feces on the ground. The grabbing unit is actuatable into a grabbing position to grab the feces on the ground for disposal. The grabbing unit is actuatable into a retracted position to retract the grabbing unit. A lighting unit is coupled to the housing and the lighting unit emits light outwardly from the housing for illuminating a darkened area.

A device to aid a user in carrying objects when walking a pet. A leash carrier utility band has a top side, a bottom side, a front side, and a back side. One or more straps is disposed on any one side and designed to secure to the opposing side. A bag clip is open at one end and affixed to the bottom side. The bag clip is designed to aid in tying and securing a used pet fecal matter receptacle thereto. A loop is placed opposite the opening of the bag clip and designed to accept a leash therethrough. A bag pouch is on the front side of the body and houses a plurality of unused pet fecal matter receptacles with a bag dispensing aperture on the bag pouch and in communication with the receptacles therein. An alternate pouch is disposed on a back side of the body.
