SECTIONAL SNOW PLOW WITH TRIP EDGE
20180127935 · 2018-05-10 · ·

A sectional snow plow has a plurality of surface-engaging sections movably carried by the moldboard and depending from the moldboard in side-by-side relationship with one another. Each of the surface-engaging sections is linearly movable relative to the moldboard between an extended position and a retracted position, independently of each other surface-engaging section, to adjust to a surface being plowed. Each surface-engaging section comprises a main body portion and a surface-engaging trip blade portion pivotally carried by the main body portion so as to be pivotable between a surface-scraping position and a deflected position. At least one biasing member simultaneously urges each surface-engaging section toward the extended position and urges the trip blade portion toward the surface-scraping position. For each surface engaging section, each biasing member simultaneously both urges that surface-engaging section toward the extended position while also urging the trip blade portion toward the surface-scraping position.

Clamshell Scoop Attachment for Work Vehicle
20180100287 · 2018-04-12 ·

A front-mounted clamshell scoop or shovel arrangement mounts onto the snowplow mounting bracket of the frame of a snowplow assembly when the blade has been removed. The scoop can be closed and lowered to scoop and pick up work-site debris or other materials, raised so the materials can be transported to a collection site, and the jaw portion is rocked to an open position to allow the material to drop from the clamshell scoop. In controls for the snowplow assembly serve to raise and lower the scoop and to open and close it.

SNOW-PLOW BLADE AND COVER-PLATE

Disclosed herein is a snow-plow blade having a blade, an insert, and a cover-plate, with the cover-plate having a crenellated structure and abrasion resistant steel.

Adapter assemblies and methods for mounting implements and accessories to passenger vehicles therewith

An adapter assembly includes upper and lower crossbars that are horizontally oriented and spaced vertically apart from each other, with each of the upper and lower crossbars having oppositely-disposed outboard ends. A pair of L-shaped brackets and a spacer bracket are mounted adjacent each outboard end of each of the upper and lower crossbars and horizontally orient and space the upper and lower crossbars vertically apart from each other. The pair of L-shaped brackets having lower legs configured to couple with the mount attached to the frame of the vehicle. The adapter assembly is adapted to couple with existing mounts installed on passenger vehicles, such as mounts adapted for the attachment of snow plows, to permit the attachment of a wide variety of implements and accessories to the front ends of such vehicles.

TRAIN AND METHOD OF CLEANING A RAILHEAD
20240367290 · 2024-11-07 ·

A method of cleaning a railhead uses a high pressure water abrasive slurry system. A slurry including an abrasive particulate and water is applied to the railhead at a pressure of at least 350 bar. A train incorporates an apparatus for cleaning a railhead, which includes a slurry mixing unit configured to contain a slurry including an abrasive particulate and water. At least one nozzle is in fluid communication with the slurry mixing unit. The at least one nozzle is configured to apply the slurry to the railhead at a pressure of at least 350 bar.

Rotatable snowplow blade apparatus, systems and methods of using the same

A snow pusher, also known as a box plow has a blade that is configured to be disposed in a first position for pushing snow forwardly, as is typical of snow pushers, and is further configured to be disposed in a second position for pulling snow rearwardly. The blade of the snow pusher may be contained within a snow plow box that may be reversible, allowing the blade to be disposed at a rear of the box for pushing the snow forwardly and at a front of the box for pulling snow rearwardly.

Snow Removal Assembly
20240410124 · 2024-12-12 ·

A snow removal assembly for removing snow from a driveway includes a vehicle that has a cab and a plurality of wheels. The vehicle has a pair of doors each hingedly attached to the cab and each of the doors pivots vertically on the cab when the doors are opened. A snow plow is movably attached to the vehicle thereby facilitating the snow plow to push snow from a driveway when the vehicle is driven on the roadway. Additionally, the snow plow is positionable at a variety of angles on the vehicle thereby facilitating the snow plow to push the snow in a chosen direction on the driveway. A salt spreader is attached to the vehicle and the salt spreader contains granular salt. The salt spreader releases the granular salt onto the driveway when the salt spreader is turned on to inhibit the formation of ice on the driveway.

EXPANDING MATERIAL BOX FOR EQUIPMENT
20170321390 · 2017-11-09 ·

A material box can telescope between larger and smaller widths to accommodate legal requirements of traveling down the road, making traveling between job sites easier and safer than conventional, unadjustable material boxes. The material box can be used in a wide configuration to plow a wider area, such as empty parking lots, cutting down work time. When cars are present, the material box can be made narrow to accommodate for the vehicles while still being an effective material moving device.

WEAR-RESISTANT COATING
20170211250 · 2017-07-27 ·

An exemplary plow includes a moldboard having a wear surface and a blade having a wear surface. A wear resistant coating is applied to at least a portion of at least one of the wear surfaces of the blade and moldboard. The wear resistant coating includes a plurality of scales. Each scale has a leading edge, a trailing edge, a raised portion disposed between the leading edge and the trailing edge, and a peak of the raised portion disposed closer to the trailing edge than the leading edge. The scales of the wear resistant coating are arranged in a plurality of rows, and gaps formed between scales in one row are offset from gaps formed between scales in an adjacent row.

Reconformable material removal system

A re-conformable material removal system comprises a head or receiver portion having an inner chamber with a plurality of material removal members arranged in side-by-side relationship to one another. First, actuator ends are disposed in the inner chamber of the head or receiver portion and second, surface contact ends project outwardly to define a contact edge. A biasing member is disposed within the inner chamber of the head or receiver portion, between the material removal members and the top, to yieldably bias the material removal members in an extended position wherein placement of the re-conformable material removal system against a surface results in yielding of the biasing member and movement of the material removal members into the inner chamber when the surface is uneven thereby resulting a conformed contact edge that is continuously adjustable and conformable to the contour of the surface.
