BOAT DOCK AND METHOD OF INSTALLATION
20180202120 · 2018-07-19 ·

A kit for installing a boat dock to an underlying bed of a body of water includes a deck frame for supporting a deck surface and guide members configured to slideably engage a support pillar to the deck frame; dock flotation members for floating the deck frame on the body of water; and pillars configured to be engaged to the deck frame by the guide member and to be anchored to the bed to secure the deck frame to the bed. A deck panel consists of an external frame with a reinforced concrete panel within the frame and a method for assembling and installing a dock, supporting a deck frame on or above a body of water; inserting pillars through guide members on the frame to contact the underlying lake bed; and anchoring the pillars to the underlying bed.

CONNECTOR FOR DOCK SECTIONS

A connector assembly for use with floating dock sections which includes a pair of buoyant connecting members. Each of the connecting members define a plurality of voids and have first and second retaining sections with a connecting section disposed between the retaining sections. The retaining sections are removably installable in sockets in the floating dock sections. At least one securement member is provided and extends between the pair of connecting members when the connecting members are installed in aligned sockets on the upper and lower perimeters of a pair of adjacent dock sections. The securement member detachably secures the connecting members. The plurality of voids may have open ends. The assembly may include a threaded elongate securement member which is captured by the one of the connecting members wherein the combination of the connecting member and the captured elongate securement member is buoyant.

Deck structure

The subject invention relates to a method for affixing two or more structures to be used in connection with a floating dock, stationary dock, gang plank, swim platform, or the like. The subject invention more specifically discloses a deck structure which is comprised of one or more sections which are adapted to be interconnected, wherein said sections are comprised of a frame, and a deck, wherein the frame is comprised of a first box-channel on a first side of the frame, a second box-channel on the second side of the frame, and at least two self-squaring cross braces, wherein the self-squaring cross braces are attached to both the first side and the second side of the frame, and wherein the deck is attached to the top side of the frame.

Removable dock bracket support

Dock mounting brackets have dock connections and fixed post mounting connections. A removable section of each bracket allows the removable mounting pipe bracket to be removed from the main dock bracket, which greatly reduces the weight of the dock or pier when installing or removing it from a lake or river. The removable mounting pipe bracket helps when reinstalling the dock the following year because the removable mounting pipe bracket is already adjusted to the correct height, saving installation time in the water. In cold climates, docks or piers are removed each year due to ice conditions.

A method of installing a dock includes providing first and second dock sections, each having a bottom transport member, and a dock support that supports the dock section when installed. The first dock section is installed adjacent to a shoreline. The dock lifting device of a dock cart is attached to the second dock section and the lifting device of the dock cart lifts the first end of the second dock section such that the second dock section is supported by the bottom transport member and the cart transport member. The cart moves the second dock section along the first dock section until the first end of the second dock section is adjacent to the second end of the first dock section. The lifting device then lowers the first end of the second dock section to be level with the second end of the first dock section.

Docking System with Joint Supports

A set of components that can be used to construct a structurally sound dock are disclosed. The components can be extruded and the components are shaped such that interconnected components provide support for the other components thereby alleviating weak points due to welded only joints. A fascia channel provides additional strength by including structures that improve the vertical and horizontal strength of the fascia channel. HDPE plastic inserts and sheaves provide sound dampening for metal to metal contact points. Other components include a corner connector, a post system and a hinge system.
