PORTABLE WATER INFLATABLE BARRIER WITH WATER INFLATABLE BASE
20170284046 · 2017-10-05 ·

A portable, water-filled barrier system includes a plurality of water-fillable modules, each module being internally divided into cells that emulates a section of a sandbag dike or wall. Adjacent modules are interconnected by fastening mechanisms, such as loops attached to fronts or sides of the modules and connected by straps or clamps. Automatic valves can seal openings between the filled cells, so that a punctured cell will not cause cells below and behind to deflate. In embodiments, the barrier can be initially filled with air, positioned, and then filled with water while the air escapes through a pressure valve. A manifold can be used to simultaneously fill a plurality of cells. A flexible sheet can be installed beneath and in front of the assembled barrier so as to inhibit leakage of water under or between the cells.

HIGHLY COMPACTED LEAF BALES FOR USE AS EROSION CONTROL BERM AND METHODS OF USING SAME
20170233964 · 2017-08-17 ·

High-density bales for erosion control or for forming a flood barrier are made by the compaction of tree leave material. The bales are made substantially from tree leave material that retains at least a portion of the vein structure. The vein structure improves the structurally integrity of the bale. A baler may be used to form the bale and it may compact the leave material up to an 8:1 compaction ratio, forming bales with a density of 0.3 to 0.8g/cc or more. The bales may have a retainer wire or mesh configured around a portion of the bale to retain the bale shape. The bales may contain seeds for growing plants directly from the bales as the leave material degrades to provide the nutrients for plant growth. This plant growth from the bale provides an aesthetically appealing bale that blends into the natural environment.

A ground-anchored foundation for a mobile flood protection arrangement is provided, wherein the ground-anchored foundation comprises at least one bottom anchor cylinder, wherein the at least one cylinder is attached to a plate, the plate being centered to the at least one cylinder, wherein the plate comprises a mounting hole adapted for pivotally attaching a receiver part to the mobile flood protection arrangement.

DEVICE FOR ABSORBING A LIQUID PRESENT ON A FLOOR IN THE EVENT OF WATER-RELATED DAMAGE OR A FLOOD
20220195682 · 2022-06-23 ·

The absorption device includes a hydrophilic powder and a casing which is permeable to a liquid, the casing being composed of an upper layer which is superimposed on a lower layer, the lower and upper layers being connected to each other by strong connections which delimit a confinement zone for the hydrophilic powder in the casing. Advantageously, the lower and upper layers are connected to each other by first weak connections. The first weak connections delimit a plurality of adjacent cells in the confinement zone, each cell enclosing a quantity of hydrophilic powder sufficient to bring about the breakage of the first weak connections which delimit the cell when the hydrophilic powder absorbs a liquid.

MULTIPLEX WATER CUTOFF WALL
20220170285 · 2022-06-02 ·

Provided is a multiplex water cutoff wall with a simple structure that can control water infiltration into an interior by way of being provided with multiple water cutoff walls and having a configuration to drain water having infiltrated between the water cutoff walls with a drainage means such as a pump. A plurality of water cutoff walls 1A, 1B, 1C, 1D are disposed in a multiplex configuration with gaps in the wall thickness direction. Drain pumps 4a, 4b, 4c are provided as the drainage means for discharging water having infiltrated between the water cutoff walls 1A, 1B, 1C, 1D to the outside. Water that has infiltrated between the water cutoff walls 1A and 1B when a rise in water level is caused outside the multiplex water cutoff wall during flooding is discharged to the outside of the multiplex water cutoff wall by the drain pump 4a. If necessary, the water cutoff wall can be arranged into a multiplex configuration with a third water cutoff wall 1C and a fourth water cutoff wall 1D, and water infiltrating therebetween is discharged with the drain pumps 4b, 4c. Thus, the level of infiltrating water is lower nearer the interior, and water flood damage can be prevented to a structure in the interior protected by the multiplex water cutoff wall.
