A FLOOD BARRIER
A flood barrier to protect an area of land from floodwaters, the flood barrier having a waterside to be placed adjacent a body of water and a protected side opposing the waterside, the flood barrier comprising a plurality of supports spaced apart from one another; at least one intermediate barrier section supported to extend between a pair of neighbouring supports when assembled, the intermediate barrier section comprising at least a first beam arrangeable such that it is supported to extend between the corresponding pair of neighbouring supports and a water impermeable membrane sheet attachable to said first beam via a mechanical connection to form a skirt extending from said first beam, outwardly from the waterside of the flood barrier onto the ground.
SYSTEMS FOR FORMING FLOOD BARRIERS
The disclosed water barrier systems may include a first mobile water barrier, and adjacent second mobile water barrier, and a translation mechanism for translating the first mobile water barrier and the second mobile water barrier toward each other. Lowering mechanisms may be configured to lower sidewalls of the mobile water barriers. The mobile water barriers may include sealing elements to form water seals between the adjacent mobile water barriers and between the sidewalls and a surface. Related methods of forming a water barrier assembly are also disclosed.
Liquid containment panel
Articles of manufacture, systems, and methods relating to a liquid containment panel are provided, where the liquid containment panel includes a body comprising a thermoplastic olefin. The body has a substantially horizontal portion and a substantially vertical portion and is configured to be freestanding with the substantially vertical portion in an upright position. One or more coupling features can be located along one or more edges of the body, where such coupling features can couple the liquid containment panel to another liquid containment panel to form a barrier or containment system.
APPARATUS, SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PREVENTING WATER INFILTRATION
Flood barrier systems include a plurality of vertical supports and a fabric barrier. A top end of the fabric barrier engages the supports. The systems further include a magnetic lock assembly and a base. The magnetic lock assembly is configured so that a magnetic force between the magnetic lock assembly and the base prevents water infiltration under the fabric barrier.
SECURE ONLINE ISSUANCE OF CUSTOMER-SPECIFIC CERTIFICATES WITH OFFLINE KEY GENERATION
In a system comprising an customer providing a service to a plurality of client devices, a method and system for providing an customer-specific digital certificate to a client device of the plurality of client devices is disclosed. The method comprises receiving, in an intermediate certificate authority, a pre-generated digital certificate and an encrypted client device private key encrypted according to a private key encryption key PrKEK, receiving, from the client device, a request for the customer-specific digital certificate, the request comprising at least one of client device identifying information and information identifying the customer, the request signed according to a pre-provisioned client device digital certificate, and transmitting the customer-specific digital certificate and the encrypted client device private key to the client device.
Above ground containment systems and methods for assembling same
A water containment apparatus includes a straight strut arrangement comprising a plurality of straight strut assemblies forming an alternating v-shape and inverted v-shape pattern; and a curved strut arrangement comprising a plurality of corner strut assemblies forming a desired curvature and connecting two straight strut arrangements to form a closed loop water containment system.
FLOATING FLAP GATE APPARATUS
To effectively block a corner portion from an influx of water. A floating flap gate apparatus 1 constructed to enable a forward end of a door body to swing upwards around a base end thereof. The floating flap gate system 1 has floating flap gates 11 and 12 arranged in a first rectilinear region S1 and a second rectilinear region S2 respectively, and a corner flap gate 21 installed at a corner portion C where S1 and S2 intersect. The corner flap gate 21 has a plurality of door bodies 22 divided by straight lines passing through a part of the corner portion C where lines extending in a width-wise direction of a base end side bottom surface of the door bodies 13 of the floating flap gates 11 and 12 intersect. Among the plurality of door bodies 22, a door body adjacent to the door bodies 13 of the floating flap gates 11 and 12 and the door bodies 22 adjacent to the door bodies 13 are connected by hinge structures 32 and 31 that maintain a water-impervious state. The corner flap gate rises or lowers, following a raising or a lowering of the door bodies of the floating flap gates, thereby making it possible to effectively block a corner portion from an influx of water.
PORTABLE WATER BARRIER
A water barrier is formed from a kit of parts comprising at least one substantially water-impermeable membrane and a plurality of water-permeable panels that, when connected together, form a structural frame including a first part for supporting the at least one water-impermeable membrane against horizontal water pressure and a second part substantially perpendicular to the first part. A support structure may connect the first part and the second part to resist deflection of the frame. In an alternative arrangement, the frame of the water barrier may also be assembled in an inverted-V configuration.
BARRIER SYSTEM
A barrier system comprising: an elongate and rigid base member having a channel defined by inner walls of the base member, the channel extending along the length of the base member, the rigid base member being adapted to be anchored to an underlying supporting surface wherein the channel comprises a relatively broader in-use lower portion with a first width (w1) and a relatively narrower in-use upper portion with a second width (w2) defining an opening into the channel; and a removable wall assembly adapted to be removably fastened relative to the base member, the removable wall assembly comprising a flexible barrier wall having a length and a height and being adapted to be positioned within the opening of the upper portion of the channel wherein the wall assembly comprises a frame assembly for framing the barrier wall, the flexible frame assembly further comprising a top frame member and a bottom frame member with the height of the flexible barrier wall extending therebetween and wherein the bottom member is dimensioned to have a thickness that is less than or equal to w1 and that is greater than w2 for allowing the bottom member be received into the lower portion of the channel to position the flexible barrier wall in a substantially upstanding position and for simultaneously preventing the bottom member from being passed through the opening defined by the upper portion of the channel in an upwardly direction.
Device for protecting the shoreline against the risks of submergence from the sea, comprising a curved front face and protecting dike comprising a plurality of aligned protection devices
A shoreline protection dike includes a plurality of juxtaposed protection devices each including a front face which is curved so as to deflect the water from each wave upwards and back in the direction of ebbing. The front face includes a concave curved shape formed by lines parallel to one another and extending between lower and upper edges of the front face, each line resting on a curved line which extends in a plane perpendicular to the lower and upper edges, the curved line including a first sector which forms a first arc and at least a second sector which forms a second arc.
