AUTOMATIC RELIEF VALVE SYSTEM WITH WATER LEVEL SENSING FOR A FIBERGLASS SWIMMING POOL BODY
A swimming pool assembly, including a pool body defining a top edge and an bottom connected by a wall, an access port positioned through the bottom, a first conduit connected to the access port and extending away from the body, a valve connected with the first conduit, a second conduit connected with the first conduit and extending toward the top edge, wherein the second conduit is water permeable. An actuator is positioned in the second conduit and connected to the valve. First and second water level sensors are positioned to measure ground water level and pool water level. A microprocessor is operationally connected to the water level sensors and to the actuator, wherein when the ground water level exceeds the pool water level by a predetermined amount, the microprocessor sends a signal to the actuator to open the valve.
ANTI-EROSION SYSTEM MADE OF GEOSYNTHETIC MATERIAL
The present invention relates to an anti-erosion system made of geo-synthetic material, preferably of polysteel raw material (polypropylene (PP) and polyethylene (PE) mixture) instead of only polypropylene or polyester or nylon, resulting in a compromise between the mechanical properties of polypropylene, the chemical properties of polyethylene, and the good resistance to the environmental agents achieved through the incorporation of molecular chain stabilizers. The fraction of PP should range from 50% to 90% and the fraction of PE from 10% to 50%.
Berm or levee expansion system and method
A system and method to create or elevate a berm of a liquid retention facility by placement of lightweight liquid impervious. The system and method can also be used to elevate the liquid retention height of the berm in combination with impervious liner retention material. By constructing the berm system on an existing levee, the effective height of the levee can be increased. The lightweight fill material provides the shape of the berm or levee extension. The liquid impervious liner material provides a watertight surface, the media for joining of the lightweight fill material, and the anchoring of the lightweight fill material to the existing berm or levee structure. The system may use solid wall hollow body structures to elevate the berm. The system may also use lightweight frames to support the vertical elevation of a liner above the berm.
Geotextile-Based Structure for Vegetative Growth Enhancement and Erosion Resistance
This application discloses a geotextile-based structure for soil stabilization, erosion control, and vegetation-growth enhancement that is made from a cage having a hollow interior lined with a geotextile fabric designed to retain fine materials, which cage is attached to a geotextile mat capable of supporting vegetation.
Erosion prevention plank with interior lattice
An erosion control plank is provided. The plank is a lattice of intersecting vertical walls and horizontal walls and includes an opening to permit a stake to secure the plank over an eroded region. The plank can be secured by a stake. The eroded region is filled with appropriate fill material which would pass through the lattice. Plants and other growth are introduced onto the plank and fill material on or through the lattice where their root networks would help secure the fill and the plank and prevent erosion. The plank is rectangular and includes connectors to permit multiple planks to be secured to one another in both a horizontal and vertical relationship, allowing the erosion control planks to fit over any of a variety of eroded surfaces and to prevent erosion from occurring there again. The erosion control planks may also be used on a non-eroded area to prevent the onset of erosion.
Pyramidal Fabrics Having Multi-Lobe Filament Yarns and Method for Erosion Control
A pyramidal geotextile fabric comprising two sets of multi-lobe filament yarns interwoven in substantially perpendicular direction to each other, each of the multi-lobe filament yarns having pre-determined, different heat shrinkage characteristics such that, upon heating, the fabric forms a three-dimensional, cuspated profile. A method of stabilizing soil and reinforcing vegetation comprises the steps of placing a three-dimensional, high-profile woven fabric into soil, wherein the fabric comprises two sets of multi-lobe filament yarns interwoven in substantially perpendicular direction to each other, each of the multi-lobe filament yarns having pre-determined, different heat shrinkage characteristics such that, upon heating, the fabric forms a three-dimensional, cuspated profile; securing the fabric to the ground; and, distributing soil and seed onto the fabric such that the section of ground is quickly revegetated and thereby protected from further erosion.
EROSION CONTROL MAT SYSTEM
A concrete mat apparatus, including a plurality of elongated concrete members, each member being aligned with and next to another concrete member. Each of the concrete members has an upper generally flat surface, a lower generally flat surface, and a plurality of inclined surfaces that each extend away from an upper or lower surface. Reinforcement extends from a first end portion of each concrete member to a second end portion thereof, the reinforcement including a plurality of longitudinally extending reinforcement bars and a plurality of encircling tie bars at spaced apart intervals. Cabling connects each of the elongated concrete members to another of the elongated concrete members. The combination of elongated concrete members has a width and a length that is at least twice as long as the width. The upper inclined surfaces of one of the elongated concrete members forms a plane with the lower inclined surface of an adjacent elongated concrete member. A plurality of loops are provided along opposed edges of the mat, each loop formed by a portion of the cabling. The loops can be spaced between about one and three feet (30.5 and 91.4 cm) apart.
MODULAR PLATFORM DECK FOR TRAFFIC
A modular assembly and method of installing a modular assembly is provided. The modular assembly can include a plurality of base members made of a plastic material, each base member including a top surface and a bottom surface opposite of the top surface, the bottom surface defining channels. A plurality of support members can be provided, each of the plurality of support members may extend across the plurality of base members and disposed within the channels of the plurality of base members. A mounting bracket can be configured to mount each of the plurality of support members to a metal plate of a lower support structure, the metal plate being received by a clamp of the mounting bracket. Each of the plurality of base members can adjoin one another to form a horizontal platform for traffic.
