Interlocking blocking system for retaining walls and other uses
An interlocking blocking system includes a plurality of interlocking blocks. Each of the interlocking blocks includes a tapered opening, a protruding bottom, and a hollow tapered inside. The tapered opening is through a top surface of the interlocking block. The protruding bottom extends beyond a bottom surface of the interlocking block. The protruding bottom includes a tapered outer surface, a thickness, and an inner tapered surface. The hollow tapered inside extends from the tapered opening on the top surface and tapers into the inner tapered surface of the protruding bottom. The tapered outer surface of the protruding bottom is shaped and sized to match and fit inside of the tapered opening at the top surface of the interlocking block. Wherein the plurality of interlocking blocks are configured to be stacked onto one another.
Barrier panel connecting clip and method
An apparatus and method for endwise connecting subterranean barrier members is disclosed. The apparatus includes at least two barrier members with each barrier member extending between top and bottom edges. Further, each barrier member has a side first edge having a flange defining a first connector and an opposed second side edge having a channel defining a second connector. The channel is sized and shaped to receive the flange of an adjacent barrier member in slidable interconnection therein. The apparatus further include a first side panel shaped to lie against a first side of the barrier members, a second side panel shaped to lie against a second side of the barrier members and a bridging plate located between the first and second panel members so as to bridge a gap therebetween, wherein the gap has a width corresponding to a width of the first and second barrier members. The associated method is directed toward creating the apparatus.
MULTI-BATTERED SEGMENTAL RETAINING WALL BLOCKS WITH INTEGRAL SELF ALIGNMENT SYSTEM, AND METHODS OF FORMING RETAINING WALLS WITH SAME
Provided herein are various embodiments of retaining wall blocks suitable for use interchangeably as components in battered and vertical retaining wall construction. Each includes a block body and a vertical interlock system that includes: two female-type components comprising first and second grooves each extending along a bottom side of the block body and a male-type component extending across a top side of the block body. A lateral interlock system comprises a male-type lateral interlock interface integrated with a first side of the block body in lateral alignment with a female-type lateral interlock interface integrated with a second side of the block body. Methods for constructing retaining walls using the retaining wall blocks described herein are also provided.
Blocks, block systems and methods of making blocks
A block, block system and method of making a wall block. Multiple block embodiments with multiple embodiments of a visually exposed surface having three dimensional shaped areas and three dimensional angular valleys or joints that can be used to construct a patio, wall, fence or the like; the multiple embodiments creating a more random and natural appearance.
Segmental retaining wall unit
A retaining wall block kit includes a block and an adjustable setback bar having a break line extending along a widthwise centerline between the front surface and the rear surface. The block has alignment knuckles protruding downwardly from a bottom surface of a front section, and has a receiver channel extending laterally across a top surface of the front section for receiving the alignment knuckles of an adjacent upper block. The setback bar can be removably located within the receiver channel, and is configured to be split along the break line. Thus, the setback bar is adjustable by being modified or omitted altogether to change the distance between the alignment knuckles and a front surface of the receiver channel and thereby allow the setback of the retaining wall to be changed as desired.
Free-standing wall arrangement and methods
A free-standing wall includes concrete base blocks adjacent to each other forming a base course; a first set of concrete wall blocks stacked on the base course and on each other to form a first wall face; and a second set of concrete wall blocks stacked on the base course and on each other to form a second wall face that faces the opposite direction from the first wall face and that has the same number of courses as the first plurality of wall blocks. Methods of constructing the wall arrangement include laying the base blocks next to each other end to end; stacking individual blocks of a first set of blocks on the base course and then on each other to form a first wall face; stacking individual blocks of the second set of blocks on the base course and then on each other to form a second wall face that faces a direction opposite of the first wall face.
FULLY ADJUSTABLE SUSPENDED POST AND PANEL MODULES AND INSTALLATION METHODS
A wall module for a modular wall structure integrates a wall panel portion with a post portion having bottom extensions and at least one groove for receiving a distal end portion of a wall panel portion of an adjacent module. The bottom post extension may be suspended in a post hole and anchored with a material such as concrete.
Concrete seawall with precast components
Seawalls and methods for making seawalls are disclosed. A seawall may include a concrete footing, with a first plurality of anchorages disposed in the concrete footing. A plurality of precast concrete tee beams may include single-tee beams and/or double-tee beams. Flanges of the tee beams may be positioned to form seaward and landward faces of the wall, and stems of the tee beams may be coupled to the footing between the seaward and landward faces. A second plurality of anchorages may be disposed at tops of the stems. Elongate steel components extend through the stems, and are tensioned between the first plurality of anchorages and the second plurality of anchorages. Interior fill may be disposed between the seaward and landward faces. One or more wave deflectors may be disposed above the tee beams.
SYSTEM FOR WALL CONSTRUCTION
A kit and system for constructing structures including at least one core block, at least one fascia block that connects to the core block by mounting a shelf that extends from a face of the core block with a cut-out section of a face of the fascia block, such that the face of the core block and the face of the fascia block form a gap therein between.
Retaining wall kit having interconnecting units
Described is a kit for constructing retaining walls including multiple interconnecting units. Various units are provided including primary retaining wall units, end units, and corner units. Each unit is square or rectangular in shape and includes an interior volume, a lip on an upper end thereof, and a protrusion on a lower end thereof. The units can be stacked on top of one another and can be secured by engagement of the lip of a first unit with the protrusion of a second unit. The units can also be arranged side-by-side and secured to one another using securement posts and fasteners. The units include one or more exterior surfaces having a finished appearance that resembles wood, brick, or stone, among others. Further, each unit includes one or more drainage apertures thereon. In this way, the present invention provides a versatile system for constructing a retaining wall of a desired configuration.
