Sewer Grate Removal Apparatus and Methods of Using the Same
A sewer grate removal apparatus comprises first and second extended rods, each having handles on first terminal ends thereof, and J-shaped elements on second terminal ends thereof, respectively. A bridging member extends from the first extended rod to the second extended rod proximal the first terminal ends thereof, and configured to allow rotation of the first and second extended rods. In use, the J-shaped portions at the second terminal ends of the first and second extended rods are fit into grate holes and the handles on the first terminal ends thereof are turned to engage the J-shaped portions with the grate, and the apparatus is pulled upwardly to remove the grate.
Manhole cover assembly
A manhole cover assembly removably supported by a manhole skirt or rim wherein when the manhole cover assembly is removed from the manhole skirt or rim an individual can access one or more components (e.g., underground fuel storage tank) through an opening in the manhole skirt or rim. Preferably, the manhole cover assembly is light weight and very strong so that there is little or no deflection of the cover of the manhole cover assembly when subjected to a predetermined load. Preferably, the manhole cover assembly is adapted for use in refueling stations to withstand the load placed thereon when a refueling tanker or other vehicle runs over the manhole cover assembly with little or no deflection of the cover of the manhole cover assembly. Preferably, the assembly forms a liquid tight seal with the manhole skirt to prevent liquid from passing into the storage area below the skirt.
Closure systems, debris caps, holder devices, and related technologies
A cap assembly can include a cap holder device with a plug member and a cap holder. The cap holder device is positionable in an end of a conduit positioned along a roadway. The cap holder is carried by the plug member and includes a magnetic element and a connector. The connector is connectable to the magnetic element to the plug member such that the magnetic element is movable relative to the plug member so as to position the magnetic element for releasably holding a cap that covers the end of the conduit when the plug member is positioned in the conduit. The cap assembly can be a debris cap insertable in a conduit, an end of a pipe, or other opening.
COVER ASSEMBLY
The present application provides a cover assembly having a frame and a cover removably connected to the frame. The cover is sealed to the frame by a sealing device, and the cover is removably connected to the frame by fasteners without interfering with the seal to prevent leakage through the area around the fasteners. The frame and cover each also have a plurality of alignment indicators that are aligned with one another to assist an operator in securing the cover to the frame.
COVER DEVICE
A cover device includes a cover plate having a body portion with inner and outer surfaces. A deployable retainer mechanism is positioned on the inner surface of the cover plate and includes a plurality of engagement features operable between retracted and deployed positions. An adjustment mechanism interconnects the deployable retainer mechanism and the cover plate, wherein the adjustment mechanism includes a portion thereof that is accessible from the outer surface of the cover plate for moving the plurality of engagement features between the retracted and deployed positions.
VERTICAL MANHOLE APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR PROVIDING ACCESS TO LEACHATE COLLECTION PIPES IN A LANDFILL
A vertical manhole apparatus for use in a waste facility to provide access to one or more leachate collection pipe access points. The vertical manhole is stabilized using stabilizing features extending out from a vertical pipe of the vertical manhole apparatus.
LIFTING DEVICE FOR COVERS
A first embodiment of a lifting device for a frame cover comprises a pair of arms, each arm having a proximal end comprising a shank and a distal end comprising a hook configured to grasp the frame cover via a hole or other structure therein. A clamp is configured to maintain the shanks of the arms in a fixed parallel orientation during use. A second embodiment comprises a U-shaped horizontal bracket having a pair of pivot slots, and a pair of angled gripper arms pivotally connected to the U-shaped bracket at the pivot slots. Each gripper arm has a notch, hook, or other connector at a lower end thereof for facilitating grip of a frame cover. The device has a lifting point for connection to a lifting mechanism to thereby provide a lifting system for raising frame covers or other structures using the inventive lifting device.
Manhole Cover Lifting Tool
A manhole cover lifting tool is disclosed. The tool comprises an elongate body and a shaft which is arranged to slide relative the body. The tool further comprises coupling means for slidably coupling a proximal region of the shaft with the body and means disposed at a distal region of the shaft for detachably coupling the shaft with a manhole cover, such that the shaft is restricted to slide through a pre-defined range along the body.
Adjustable manhole cover
A manhole cover assembly has an inner cylinder and an outer cylinder. An upper ratchet mechanism extends axially and circumferentially about an outwardly facing surface of the inner cylinder. A lower ratchet mechanism extends axially and circumferentially about an inwardly facing surface of the outer. The lower ratchet mechanism is configured to mesh with the upper ratchet mechanism at one of a plurality of distinct ratcheting positions. A cover plate is disposed on one of the inner cylinder and the outer cylinder. The cover plate is at a first elevation when the lower ratchet mechanism meshes with the upper ratchet mechanism at a first distinct ratcheting position. The cover plate is at a second elevation when the lower ratchet mechanism meshes with the upper ratchet mechanism at a second distinct ratcheting position. The first elevation is different from the second elevation.
